Catered my buddy's 50th birthday. The catfish blew my mind. I guess I never had catfish before. I don't eat fish much, but I can't quit thinking how delicious it was.

I called in to place a to go order of a full rack of baby back ribs wich were good, however the side dish of candied yams were partially uncooked, the Coleslaw was no more than cabbage with a spoon full of dressing poured on top of bit, and the corn bread muffins were burnt and over baked. I Do love the Oceanside location, always a great meal, but I will never visit the Lake Elsinore one.

This place was amazing I can’t wait to go back and bring friends. The catfish was the best I ever tasted. I ordered a peach Long Island tea and let’s just say I only needed one since it was family day but best believe I’m coming back and did I mention it was HAPPY HOUR ( doing a happy dance) The cornbread was perfect . The atmosphere and the customer service is top tier..

It is insanely hard to find good BBQ. At most places, the meat is alright but those side dishes are poor or worse. Barbecued meats are good and the sides are Head and shoulders better than almost any other place I have eaten.

Omg! One of the best BBQ places in town...or any town for that matter. Hubby and I had two deliveries and everything was packaged beautifully and delishious. We finally went to the restaurant, and the food and service was outstanding. If you are in Lake Elsinore, you need to try Felix's.

Jesus H Roosevelt Christ this place is GOOD.By far the best BBQ I've had in decades. The large tri-tip meal was more than enough to feed me and 2 kids with leftovers. Meat was perfect; tender, hint of Smokeyness without being over powering with amazing BBQ sauce. Corn bread was caramelized on the outside but still moist on the inside, mac-n-chz was legit, and I'd never had braised cabbage before but now I'm in love. Aaaaaaand this place not only had fried green tomatoes but does them right. Need I say more?Excellent food, new family favorite, worth every single penny.

Well omg, if you’ve ever had southern cuisine actually while in the south, eat here, you’ll think you’d died and gone to heaven.Been there several times and the food is consistently excellent. Wild caught Delta catfish, collard greens, black eyed peas and more, oh the mashed potatoes and gravy all tastes, just like you were in the south somewhere YUM!You know that edge, of flavors that pushes authentic food over the top!?! They have it!

Early this afternoon, my brother and I went to Felix. We ordered two sampler platters. One platter had a double portion of catfish niggets (barely any nuggets & super small), brisket, baby back ribs, fried okra, braised cabbage, yams, and collard greens. Normally, we have cornbread muffins; however, there were no muffins. We got butter but no muffins. What sense does that make? The second sampler had tri tip, pulled chicken, baby back ribs, and catfish nuggets (4 very very small peices of catfish. Like 1 peice was but up into 4 small peices), yams, mac n cheese, hoppin john, and baked beans. We also got a slice of pecan and sweet potatoe pie f0r dessert. We got butter, but no muffins. We also had to ask for our drinks which were 2 Shirley Temples.Normally, the food is excellent; however, today the food wasnt no where near worth the $100 including the nice tip left we spent. We are going to pass on returning and take the drive to the San Marcos or Oceanside locations. The food at both locations are consistently excellent! The meals come with decent proportions & always has cornbread muffins on our to go orders.I know times are tight, but come on man. How do you serve bbq with just butter, hold the cornbread muffins.Highly faithful, and extremely disappointed customer.

Our waitress name was Cynthia and she was absolutely amazing from her personality to the service. My family and I were very well pleased with her. Ask for Cynthia to be your waitress. You won’t be disappointed at all. We ended up giving her a great tip for her service. The food was great as well, especially, someone coming from Philly.

Casual restaurant located in old town. If you don’t find parking in front, you can park on the street or in the back lot. I ordered to go and wasn’t disappointed. THE MONROE SPECIAL vegetarian sandwich, was flavorful and served on soft, warm bread. We also grabbed a side of mac and cheese which wasn’t my favorite but still very much edible. The star of the show is their JAMBALAYA. You can have it with pasta or rice (we chose rice) and it was nothing short of delectable.
Vegetarian options: LOUISIANA VEGGIE PASTA and The Monroe Special are good vegetarian options.

Decided to give this place a try, and I'm so glad we did! The food was on point! We got brisket, ribs, candied yams, collard greens, baked beans, and a sweet potato cheesecake! The meat was flavorful, moist, and fell off the bone! The sides were all delicious, and the dessert put the cherry on top! This restaurant has good quality food and I'm so happy they are local! Wish I would have taken a picture, but I ate it too fast!
