First time here, and what a yummy recommended find. Had their skillet breakfast and boy! what a plate. Are about half and will have a nice breakfast lunch and snack throughout the day.
3rd or 4th time coming here. Consistency is a nice thing about eating here, and the portions are Great! Large and family size even.
It's a diner and you get all the dinner energy. It's loud and you hear all the cooks and family. The raise bread french toast was good. It was fluffy. The cheese eggs are cool. The turkey sausage is amazing. The home fries were really good. They give you extremely large portions. I barley ate half of my LA Marathon. The LA Marathon is $15 and comes with 2 pancakes, 2 french toast, eggs, a meat and home fries. I sub the 2 pancakes for more french toast. The skillet is large, it can feed a small family alone. The biscuit was dry and the only really bad item. The ice tea is brewed there but not sweet. The utensils are clean for a diner. There are tables and a large bar with stools. The parking is in the back of the resturant.
I have been coming here for years when the original owners owned it. They were a sweet couple. We celebrated all of our birthdays here and came just to come. The food was amazing and the right price! Since they sold it.. It hasn't been the same, they opened one on Lakewood and south as well. But the one on Carson is the one to come to..at least it used to be. Service is ok, friendliness maybe 1 star Quality and size of food maybe 2stars depending on the cook that day!
Busy on the weekends, plan to wait. Mon.-Fri. Fast service, good food, generous portions. Oh yeah...excellent coffee.
Great food. Every single thing is great. They bake their own bread.
It was a Random nite on a Tuesday evening , me and my family walk in to Heritage restaurant on Carson st this place was nice and quiet , clean they greet you and ask us to seat where ever we want .so I order a ribeye steak well done with smashed potatoes & gravy ,veggies and a buttery toast. Everything taste really great I wasn't sure to take a picture of it before but I took a picture after Because it was delicious!!
Oh yeah this place is good and they give u so much for the price. They give u so much u can bring some home for later. 4/Real
The coffee is fresh and delicious, a strong smell, rich flavor. The French Toast is moist and sweet. Big portions good price. The staff is always nice friendly.
The Country fried steak and eggs was really good! Biscuits and gravy were delicious too!! The service was amazing! Thank you
Their toast is amazing! I was expecting their homemade cinnamon rolls to be a little bit less dry, but other than that everything else went well!
This place you either love it or hate it. I've been coming here since I was a child and still enjoy coming here as an adult. Fast service Good breakfast/Lunch Some of the negative reviews on here are Ridiculous by the way lol. Stay at home if you have dietary restrictions , plain and simple. You don't have to worry about your cook accidentally forgetting to take off something. First world problems.....
The family and I came in for breakfast this morning. In short, our waitress seemed like she hated her job, the food was terrible and the place looked rundown. The pancakes tasted like metal, the bacon was cold, and my chorizo burrito was salty/oily. Don't even get me started on the Huevos rancheros that looked like a mash up of food that looked like it was being fed to animals at a barn. My family and I will not be coming back, even if we're starving.
Not sure who's writing the reviews on this place but it is hardly worth the prices they charge. Sure they give you large portions, but large portion of bad are still bad. Husband got Chili cheese omelette said best description would be flavorless and the chili tasted old. Left half of it there. I had sausage and eggs. Eggs were runny sausage patties were so small had to of been commercially made, not as good as jimmy dean. Won't be going back will go to Denny's across the street. Oh and the coffee at $3.00 a pop tasted like warm water think they forgot the coffee ground.
the workers are very friendly and always check on you to see if you need or like anything
The service is excellent and food is worth the wait!
My husband and I had lunch today. He had breakfast and I had fried chicken. Our meals were excellent. Although, I bought a brownie on my way out for almost $5! I got home and my brownie had granules and grains of RICE (of all things). I guess it could have been worse but crunching into a raw grain of rice sucked! Only thing they offerred us was credit for the amount of the brownie on my next visit. Hmmm...what do you think?
This place is pretty great. The food is super simple classic diner food, but it's done really well. You can tell whoever's running this place cares about the overall customer experience. The service is constantly good. In my opinion, the Heritage burger with fries and a chocolate shake is one of the best things in the world.
I ordered chicken and waffles. It was cooked to perfection. The best. The staff is fantastic also.
Got the LA marathon and it was delicious I highly recommend it. The hospitality made me feel like I was at home. Overall great food and great servers
Great food and service. I was there for breakfast, which is served all day. My daughter had the chicken and waffles, it was a very generous portion, so I helped her! Recommend to anyone with an appetite for good home style cooking. Enjoy!
French Toast is my favorite, sweet and moist. Coffee is rich. I put 2 French vanilla 2 sugars and could taste the richness of the coffee. Clean. Nice staff. Love their food. 3rd time there. Went because I have been wanting French Toast.
You don't want to know, but the food is amazing, very large portions and the waitress the waitress is incredible... Incredibly shaped.
Great food for local, casual dining. Nothing fancy, but good food. I love the hot Turkey sandwich made open face with mashed potatoes and gravy. Great baked goods too. Well managed shop and cozy.
This is our family's favorite coffee shop. We visit frequently and are treated like family. The staff, cooks and management are truly wonderful people and do their best to make sure you enjoy your visit. We love sitting at the counter - it really gives this location its diner feel. The food is delicious and bring your appetite, because the portions are generous.
Old classic, American food! When I was in college I use to eat here at least once a week this place is delicious. Order the chicken California for lunch and let it take you away. For breakfast get the marathon and go run one. Amazing!!!
Long wait, inattentive service, mediocre food at best. I don't get the hype. I most likely won't be coming back.
I visited California last week my husband son suggested that we try this place..Yessssszzzz they have by far the best spinach omelet ever. It was huge and lasted two days. The toasted croissant was even better. We all enjoyed our orders... Thanks Julian for the suggestion. It was delicious!
The Heritage Family Pantry is an awesome place to eat; the quality of food is good and they always seem to give you more food than you can put away in one sitting. The hospitality is great and they always have a smile on their faces. Great place to eat and will continue to enjoy the food there.
Bake their own breads. Very good portions. Everything made fresh.
My mom loves this place and treated me to lu ch there. Had a BLT and it was delicious while my mom had tortilla soup with 1/Turkey sandwich and she loved it.
Chicken & Waffles were so good! Fried chicken was extra crispy, delicious, and went perfectly with my grits. Thanks Heritage.
Came by for the first time had a bacon and egg sandwich. My daughter had pancakes and sausage. Everything came out pretty quick staff was very friendly. The place looked cleaned from the inside. Would come back again and recommend it. The food was good and appetizing.
Since it's near my house I needed to try it. No need to go back. Our table ordered a variety of breakfast and lunch items. All were meh. Nothing spectacular. Kid friendly and good service are are what the stars are for. Nothing was bad except the hollandaise sauce (it was thick and gritty). Coffee wasn't good either. Not a place I'll stop by again.
Really friendly owner/manager (he seems to be there whenever we go) and staff is kind and fun too! On top of that, portions are so large that you're guaranteed to need a box, and all for a good price! Everything here has a certain freshness that you don't see elsewhere, from the fried parmesan zucchini to the strawberry pie, it's clear that it's all prepared fresh.
I support local business and this one is a hidden gem! Love the food and the customer service! Just a great old fashion diner with great priced food and well served portions. The menu has a lot of great items but my favorite is the Mexican Chilaquiles and I request them spicy. My husbands is their BLT combo with half fries and half onions rings (bomb) on their home made sourdough bread (double bomb).
I was spoiled by the long quartered, al dente deep fried zucchini at the South Street location. These paled in comparison. Smaller portion and limp and overcooked. The rest of the meal was very good.
My wife and I absolutely love their freshly baked apple pie! Totally digg the 80's tunes they play! We highly recommend it! We both give
Super yummy and homemade! Good positive energy and the waitstaff seems fun and can tell has good camaraderie. Milkshakes are the BEST!
The best breakfasts all the time is busy. Because the prices are reasonable. And of course the most important the food comes for you to try it..
