Got takeout for a group order twice over the holiday break. This place is located on an intersection mini mall lot. My Filipino friends and family approve of the food, it’s solid priced and home style tasting. Out of all the Filipino places in SoCal I go to, this is on the short list.

Well, I’m not sure why she gave me burnt turon. It tastes burnt and was overcooked! Burned sugar is not pleasant tasting at all. The ones on top looked way better, so she purposefully gave me a burned one from the bottom of the pile. ? My bread was burned and over cooked too. ?♀️

I had a Friendsmas & quickly needed some Turon! I decided to call & order ahead of time to get 10 pieces of their freshly made Turon. Their Turon was $1.29 per piece including tax. It came out to be $14.13. Their Turon was packed with deliciousness. Crispy on the outside & the inside of the Turon had some jackfruit. Best Turon I've ever tasted. They also do catering which is a plus. Can't wait to try their other Filipino dishes!

I ordered multiple dishes to try and all of them were delicious! I'm not familiar with Filipino food at all so the staff was helpful in explaining what the dishes were and helping me choose!

Best Lechon kawali for a good price. I always order from here for all of my parties. They even accommodate me when I order large trays just a few hours ahead.

Don't be scared off by the location in the corner spot of a small strip mall and unassuming interior.Selection of canned goods, frozen goods and desserts, variety of Filipino desserts. Also large selection of their prepared foods.I had tocino and 2 large sticks of pork bbqMy Filipina wife had Bangus and young jack fruit prepared with coconut milk.We have fridge in our hotel room so we also got a small container of squash and green bean veggie mix. We also got a bag of Pan de Coco (bun with chocolate inside). All food we tried was so Lami/Masarap.We have been touring Canada and USA for 5+ weeks and were both missing Filipino food. KAINAN SA KANTO is a must try if you are living or visiting the Long Beach California area. While we were there 3 separate Filipina locals came and also got large orders - that is a good sign. The man who took our order was so friendly and he had 3 hard working people cooking behind him. He wished us a good rest of our holiday and hoped we would return next time in LA/Long Beach - we will for sure.Highly recommend this food and the portions are so big we each took out half of our order. The biggest problem is so many tasty choices to pick from!!Parking: Located in the corner of a strip mall.

Been going here for years for their spring rolls. We order them for any party/potluck we go to & they're always a hit! We get 50 or 100 w/their sweet/sour sauce and theres never any leftovers. Order ahead by phone or stop in to order in advance.
10/05/23- Thursday It's been so many years since I ate at this place. More than 10 years ago. It tasted awesome. I asked for a free sinigang soup! :-)

Service is good. The Diniguan was lacking in the dugo! What is a blood stew without the blood? That's what I got was Sabao or broth and not that thick black gravy. Also, there was that layer of lard. A good thing because you can tell they fried the fat and it was fresh. It seems that the meat has the dugo coating it but was tossed in a broth. The Ampalaya dish was flavorful. The bitter melon was cooked perfectly, very tender but not mushy. Shrimp in the dish was cooked well. Enough egg to make it look authenticThe pork adobo had good size chunks of pork. Loved that they used the fatty parts and also the skin. Good flavor. Sisig: Everybody has their own style, like how they make their diniguan, their adobo, etc. Same holds true for Sisig. The letchon was on point. Basics were there, I think. Red onions, chilies, vinegar, black pepper. Very flavorful, but For me, a little dry, tasty but very lacking in the tangy department. Rice was good.

Kainan Sa Kanto has been a classic for the Filipino community within Lakewood for a while now.I had a work potluck and quickly needed some lumpia! So I decided to call and order ahead of time to get a party tray of 100 pieces of Shanghai Lumpia.Everything went well and smooth, and I was able to pick this up on time. Of course I needed to eat one before I brought this back to work since I was missing my lunch break haha. However, as I eagerly took my first bite, I encountered an unexpected challenge--the lumpia was significantly tougher and crunchier than I anticipated. The crispy exterior had an intense crunch that bordered on being overly hard, and the texture of the wrapper was slightly chewier than I prefer. It required a bit more effort to bite through than I was accustomed to with lumpia.Although it was a bit tougher and crunchier, it was still good. Overall 4/5 for the Shanghai Lumpia and 5/5 for the quick and efficient service!
