It's the smallest Round 1 I've ever been to, but it seems to have all the amenities of the chain. I haven't done any bowling, etc at this location so I can't speak to the experience on that, but I've looked over the arcade a few times. Honestly a good selection of games, however the UFO catchers/crane games are a huge letdown at this location. About 90% of them are simple chance crane games, with no skill involved in winning, only payout. Part of Round 1's charm has always been its UFO catcher or skill game experience so you can walk away with some fun prizes, but not at Lakewood. Huge bummer! However, if you're into dancing games, the Dance Rush Stardom cabinets (2 of them!) and Pump it Up are fantastic. They also have more games, even Taiko and Pop N Music, which I've yet to see at other locations. Project Diva is also present, along with a few other rhythm games that take a great deal of hand-eye coordination. Overall I'm very pleased with their musical game selection and would consider it a great reason to go to this Round 1 and you could spend a lot of time playing! The winner's circle also isn't too bad, it's comparable to other sites, if just a tad small. I'm also happy to say since the first time I had visited, I felt the location seemed a bit cleaner, which I was very happy to see. Overall, if you're closer to another Round 1, this one may not be as worth your time unless you're committed to do some bowling or a rhythm game meetup, as it's not very big. But it has its merits and I could definitely see myself going here often if I lived close by.

First time coming here. I see, they have a lot of games and a bowling alley section. The only thing that sucks is that they had on the eliminate of games to play. I would think that they would have the games for kids separated from the adult games. When we got the card to play games, it was nothing but adult games. Nothing for kids if you're gonna bring your kids around. This is more like for teenagers. For the games there are certain games they have are for kids. But you can't use the card. It's only limited that you have to wait. 90 seconds to swipe the card again, which doesn't make sense. It was overcrowded, the security guards only check you request. Didn't seem like they wanted to do their job. Mama kit, we're asking questions at the reception about purchasing the card for the games. That an explaint says very well on how to get the cards. Or what games can we use for the cards? At the end, we're thinking. We're gonna get some tickets from winning. Some games are playing. We didn't get no tickets at all, which isn't fair.

It’s a cool place, but don’t spend all of your money on the gacha machines. They’re rigged for the most part

This is one business that will never get another cent or good word out of me - or anyone I know - after my experience with their completely haphazard method for reporting theft that allowed my friend group to be wrongfully targeted. Thanks to the inefficient efforts of manager THOMAS, a call was made to mall security to report a man (in a black shirt) stealing a plush toy from their redemption center AFTER we had spent several hours and hundreds of dollars in their establishment. This call led to my ethnically diverse friend group of four being put under surveillance and two of us being pulled over by two police cars and mall security in the parking lot moments later.Per Deputy Villegas of Lakewood Sherrif Station, Round 1 claimed to have footage of one of us four committing the crime and were waiting for the manager (Thomas) to come and verify if it was either one of us in the car. Several moments later, we're told we are free to go because the footage had been reviewed and it was determined by the manager that it was our friend (in a blue shirt and blue hat) who had actually stolen. We called him immediately to inform him of the situation, he calls Round 1 himself and speaks to Thomas who then apologizes and assures our friend (that had been verbally ID'd to us as the thief mere moments ago) it was a case of mistaken identity on mall security's behalf. When I called to speak with Round 1 myself, that is when Thomas gave me his version of events about the initial call made and again pointed the finger at mall security for somehow misinterpreting the description given and targeting us instead of the actual thief. It is very disheartening to learn after years of patronage that a corporation such as Round 1, who prides themselves on being "family-friendly", values profit more than people and prioritizes merchandise over the safety of their customers. In the end, a fun celebration for our friend's birthday left us with tainted memories thanks to a traumatic encounter with the police and a very bland apology (with no refund) for putting our lives in danger over plush toys that we could've bought on Amazon without the harassment.

Friends got police called on them for "stealing" a plushie. Management needs to learn how to use their camera system, we clearly stood in line and bought the plush in question with our tickets. This is an unacceptable mistake in my book. They were treated like criminals because Round 1 staff is incompetent.
