Was craving Indian tonight and where do I go? None other than the best spot in town, Malhis. I completely forgot and stopped by at 3pm and told they close the restaurant from 3-5pm daily. So no problem, just went to a nearby store to further work up an appetite and return back. Upon entering, properly greeted by staff, clean Interior. Ordered samosas and chicken tikka masala. An hour went by and no food, so that's why I knocked down one star. Restaurant wasn't busy so I don't know why slow service but servers apologized. Food was delicious, what I love about Indian is that embracing flavor, rich in savory condiments. Don't let size deceive you. At first glance I thought to myself the little canisters were so tiny but oh boy were they more than enough, enough to ask for trays to take home. Ordered a medium heat level on my chicken but must say, it was still pretty mild so wish it had a little more heat. Naans we're so light, fluffy and flavorful just in my opinion wish they were topped with more garlic. Overall very satisfied and left with a happy belly. Highly recommend, just hope next time service doesn't take as long for food to reach my table.

I usually order through Grubhub and they never disappoint. Fresh and precise! Just do not forget to remind them about how many chutneys you want (spicy and sweet sauce), if reminded they will include it. I believe they have two locations, one in Palmdale and this one in Lancaster. I do like the one in Lancaster way way more, because the food tastes better, friendlier, polite, and generous.

This place doesn't have the same restaurant hours as stated online. I called and asked when they actually open and the lady told me to wait, and I got hung up on. I called again thinking it was a mistake, and they picked up and hung up again. Their customer service is not very good. I really wanted to give it a shot but I'll just keep going to my reliable place called Royale tandoor!! Best Indian food you'll ever get

We just drove into town and it was 8pm one hour before closing. We thought Indian food sound good. So I took my cousin what used to be the best Indian restaurant in town. Wow! I was so embarrassed, the service was ok as usual and we got our food withing 15 minutes. The food wasn't hot and blah. I think the only thing that was cooked was the Naan.

I've eaten Indian food in a lot of cities around the world, and I'm always surprised at how well this Lancaster restaurant stands up to the competition. Who'd have thought there'd be such good Indian food in the AV? I love this place.

Best lunch special in town. This place is a hidden gem, they have incredible food.We love coming for the lunch special served every day until 3pm. With your entree you get rice, naan, the vegetable of the day and a cup of soup.Great for both vegetarian and meat eaters.

Visiting AV from Fresno and decided to get some Indian food. I picked this restaurant because they have a 4.0+ review but i was disappointed. I got an order of Hot Chicken Tikki Masala and Garlic Naan. The chicken Tikki Masala was actually really bland and no real spice flavor. Really thick and hardly any chicken with pieces of green peppers (i think). The garlic Naan was both saggy & hard. Usually around $30 i get enough for two ppl, but they charged me $24 and it was two small containers.

Parking could be better but Malhi’s service has nothing to do with it so 5 star stands! Food was DELICIOUS! Service was courteous and inviting. Call ahead or you’ll be waiting a while because food is prepared as you order it, just for you. Keeper!

So we came to the restaurant located on 20th and j the service was ok with the waitress but the cook was slow we were told that the order would be out in 25/30 minutes we end sitting there for an hour , when I spoke with the waitress, to address the issue, she spoke to the manager he said there was nothing he could do, no apologies at all . So we not going back there just watch how people handle you and servic

Food: Below average as far as flavor. Small portions.Asked the server for a recommendation of a beef dish. He recommends the Beef vindaloo. Along with the chicken tikka masala. The little bowels were below average. Very small portions, mainly sauce. The beef dish had a few small nibbles of beef.Cook seems to have dropped the salt bowl into the pot/ pan during preparation. It was extremely salty.- Big disappointment.Naan and rice were acceptable.Men’s bathroom was horrible, unfinished paint job, questionable plumbing, sink was barely hanging on wall and broken fixtures throughout. I typically imagine how the kitchen looks like based on the bathrooms. Scary thought…Service was polite and pleasant, however, when asked about our experience, offered nothing more than: “I’ll inform the owner”.- so much for customer service. Not recommended. Not going back there.

I called to place an order for pickup. The guy on the phone was rude and replied you have to get here in 15 mins because we close at 3pm and I said never mind I won’t make it in time but thanked him anyways and he straight up hung up on me without saying anything else. Rude.I know it won’t make a difference saying I won’t ever come back but imagine how many people get discouraged to go here because of the rudeness. Please be better. Your food is amazing but not worth putting up with the attitude.

Lunch special is available every day until 3pm and everything on menu can be mild or spicy which is perfect for me because I like it hot and my other half likes mild. Most importantly the food was the best that I have had in a long time. I will certainly be a regular.
