I’ve been to the LBX Hangar 4 times in the past week and each time their kitchen is closed. This last time the manager says their out of bread… I walk away only to notice a huge bag of baguettes on their counter. The girl at the counter notices my confusion because I saw a huge bag of bread and can’t help but laugh at his lie.. So I got a Bulgogi Burrito from Marinate next to them!

Average banh mi sandwhich place.Had the pork sandwhich which was $8.50. The size was decent but tasted okay. Usually, banh mi is cheap so this was expensive for what it was.

The LBX location doesn't always honor Instagram related deals. When one such deal was available, the boss would not honor it when called. YMMV, call before you go to see if the deal is available here.

This place was okay. Wouldn't go back any time soon. I've definitely had tasty bahn mi orders from other spots. This one was on the drier side, very little meat and what meat was in there was hard.

The garlic noodles had nice flavor but it also was not anything special. I've had better Vietnamese banh mi but based on the location, I can see that this eatery really caters towards young hip Americans ... it's a fun location with beers and outdoor space for kids to run around. Food is just ok though. I really wanted to try the puff pastry but they were sold out. Next time....

I'm still grossed out from our experience here on Saturday afternoon. My husband was about to bite into his pork sandwich and noticed a long black hair swirled around the meat!! Luckily they cut it in half so he saw it before eating it. He went to get a new one and I couldn't even eat my chicken sandwich. While he waited for his new one he noticed a girl who ordered right after us waiting again. He asked if anything was wrong with their order and she said her boyfriend had a HAIR in his sandwich too!!! So disgusting. After hearing that story I threw mine away and ordered from another place. I hate wasting food but couldn't eat it. I hardly write negative reviews but this needs to be fixed. I noticed a review from a month ago with the same issue. EW!!!

Highly recommend the bite mi fries! Wish there was more sauce on it, but overall tons of meat, fries and veggies. They are also very quick with your food, but it does get packed fast.

Wow, what a disaster. We've eaten here before and although they've run out of food and always seem a little disorganized the food has previously been tasty. Tonight after excessively long week for bite me fries and garlic noodles we realize the kitchen staff was all standing around talking, our food was cold, and the fries were completely and edible they were so overcooked. And they tried to make it up with a five dollar coupon but we just won't be going back.

Sooooo we ordered the pork bah meat and a Vietnamese coffee. Super bummed about the coffee. It was legit all ice and what felt like a splash of coffee. We asked why they put so much ice and they said "it's how we prepare the coffee." Definitely have had Vietnamese coffee before and have never had so much ice in it. Would not order this again. We also had the pork sandwich and mid bite we found a long, thick hair. Almost barfed. We took it back and they immediately fixed it without but's or if's. We got a new one made but couldn't stomach through eating it so can't give an honest review. We plan to come back and give the sandwich another try.

Say NO to the garlic noodles, which were tasteless. We thought maybe the spicy version would at least have flavor, but sadly it was just a waste of another $13. The spicy garlic noodles were just the same tasteless garlic noodles.. plus 12 tiny chili flakes. Yes, 12 flakes, because even my toddler couldn't tell which one was the spicy one. The chicken on the garlic noodles were dry, overcooked, and reeked of lemongrass. The banh mi sandwiches are on French bread (not banh mi rolls) but they were still surprisingly soft and had a lot of mayo, so those were not a complete failure. The Vietnamese coffee was fine.

Everything here is good! The bánh mì is absolutely delicious (my favorite is the chicken). Their iced coffees are great too and really affordable. The sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich is also incredible! The staff here is so friendly and attentive too!

I really enjoyed my grilled pork banh mi: very generous portion of sweet grilled pork (perhaps belly? or some Combination?), with lots of daikon/carrot pickles, chunky cilantro sprigs, in a crispy/flaky roll. For $8 it's a very hearty sandwich, which was enjoyable to share. If it came with pate and a touch of fish sauce flavor it would be even better IMO. That said, my new favorite banh mi in Long Beach area.

Ordered the Chicken Puff with Egg and Pork Bahn Mi. Chicken Puff with egg was just some puff pastry plain scrambled egg and a big plain chicken nugget. I would rather have something from McDonalds than this again. Pork Bahn Mi - Break had a nice crunch and pickled raddish and carrots had a nice tang to it. Pork was somewhat flavorful or was at the top of the maranade because it could have used more flavor, but wasn't bad overall. I probably wont go here again because there are so many other choices.

I've had this place a handful of times and always ordered the grill pork banh mi and a Vietnamese coffee. I love that you can customize the coffee as far as sweetness goes. The service is great and food comes out quick. The grilled pork is always fire but this last time I tried the grilled chicken banh mi and wished there was more flavor to it. It's good but something is definitely missing. Also, the sauce or maybe oil? from the chicken soaked the whole bottom of my sandwich which caused it to split and fall apart so I struggled a bit eating it. I do love the fact that it's a good size stacked with pickled veggies and the bread is amazing. I actually prefer their baguette over Lee's because Lee's baguette literally can cause lock jaw. I also got the jasmine milk tea with boba. So yum!

I'm not a big banh mi person, but this place does it right. The spam and egg banh mi is great, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the bread is soft. The egg puffs are sooo good and better than expected for the inexpensive price. I like the milk tea as well- not too sweet and soft boba. Would get again!
