The food and service were above our expectations. We surely enjoyed the vibes of this restaurant. Superb place to take my family out for dinner.

This site is my favorite place. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. Whenever I I need a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes straight to my mind. good and food and a large menu.trained staff members, and pleasant atmosphere. In addition to that, the expence is reasonable. I praise this place with great pleasure.

Hibachi-San excels in the area of convenience for university students. They offer a variety of raw fish combinations, spam musubi, and cooked salmon for your poke bowl. Fish combos are pre-made, so the sauce is already mixed together with the fish when they scoop it in the bowl for you. However, it is not fresh. Speaking from personal experience, I was the first customer to come, and they just took out their fish from the day before. Fish were soggy in the sauce and I could see ice forming around the edges of the container. My toppings such as seaweed salad and ginger were incredibly watery and were not fresh. I also found a strand of hair in my poke bowl; I should have told them. I continue to come here only because I am starving and need something to satisfy my constant asian food cravings after a long morning on campus.

Came here with my woman a few weeks ago and forgot to say good things about this place. I highly recommend this restaurant, really good dishes and sides!

I've seen the actual salmon and tuna steaks before they slice them into cubes, that's how I know they use the freshest ingredients. Staff is quick on their feet and dry attentive to detail. Thanks CSULB for this poke bar.

Good fresh fish and the constantly measure food temperature. Downside is the protein portion is small..

The recent changes to the offerings seem to be in response to health concerns surrounding their ingredients, and the quality drop shows. The cold salmon is now cooked like ceviche, the masago is gone, and the edamame has been replaced with a corn salad that I swear I've had lying around in my fridge at some point (it was terrible). Speaking of frozen, one of the bites of tuna I had was firm in the middle: FROZEN! It still didn't taste offensively bad, but if I want my poke fix, I'll probably just go off-campus.

Not a fantastic poke bar. I used to eat here once in a while when I was a sophomore and I liked the poke. I just got poke here last night for the first time since then (now I'm a senior) and it was bad. I tried two type of their salmon and I was not a fan. Sorry hibachi-san.

Great service first time I ever been I got a large bowl with sushi rice and beef and the beef was so savory and Juciey it great for lunch breakfast and dinner and there tea are amazing
Pretty delicious! The line wasn't very long and the menu is pretty simple. Staff is also nice and quick on their feet. I recommend picking what you'd like in your bowl before getting in line or you'll be confused. You have the option to have all the toppings, by the way.I personally got a small bowl with sushi rice, grilled salmon, ahi tuna, all toppings, and the spicy mayo sauce. I also got a Thai tea. The small bowl was very fullfilling (I didn't eat breakfast). I like everything in the bowl except the salmon. The grilled salmon was hard, probably overcooked, which is why I took a star off. I'd recommend against it. The thai tea was pretty standard. My total came out to be $14.07. To be honest, Hibachi San is a little overpriced, but I'm satisfied so I won't complain.

Wanting to Branch out of my usual Subway/Pollo Loco (budget-friendly) meals while on campus, I decided to try Hibachi-San. I wanted to try as many items as possible and went for the 5 protein. While I enjoyed the food, the fish was a bit bland (not as fresh as other places) and the amount of sauces was underwhelming. I would eat here again but it isn't at the top of my list when I think Poke.

This place is awful. Portion sizes are small, they charge you extra for imitation crab even though no other Poke place does, the rice tastes like mush, the salmon tastes very fishy, and all their raw fish options are smothered in sauce. The only adequate thing is their spicy tuna. Don't waste your money on this crap.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Portion sizes are a joke for the price you have to pay for a small bowl. My bowl has so much rice and barely any protein. They will scoop you a bunch of rice to make it look like your bowl is filled, and then give you the smallest scoop of protein(chicken, salmon, or beef). Not only that, they can't even give you another scoop of protein if the first scoop was too little. It is not even proportionate with the amount of rice that is given. Overall, they are stingy with giving you a decent amount of protein and toppings. A rip off and not worth the money for a college student.
Good and food .
