I'm going to give the drinks to food rating and five stars all the way on the drink menu they always modify and come up with solid drinks can't go wrong with this place for that. Have to also give him credit for always having attentive friendly bartenders. Securities super cool easy to deal with big man Steve at the top of the stairs very helpful doesn't make you feel like you being strip searched just to get something to drink he has a good attitude. Only mark down on the atmosphere is that I wish it was a little bit of a older crowd very young somewhat sloppy in terms of bumping into you but no fights no rudeness so definitely a good place to pop your head in for a drink

A swanky Hispanic bar & restaurant with a great variety of food offerings and liquors available.The margaritas were all quite good, though the pitchers were a bit small for the price (serves 3 to 5 glasses depending on how liberally one pours)..The burrito was quite flavorful and used high quality ingredients, but lacked any sort of sides that one might expect for its size and price point - even just plain tortilla chips would've gone a long way.Atmosphere is the real highlight of this location - especially if one can get a spot on their patio or upstairs bar.Parking: Located in a popular portion of DTLB, do not expect to find parking close by as the restaurant lacks any dedicated parking options.Best bet is to probably find a garage near Pine Street and hoof it over.

We came here with a large group, providing the business with over 100 folks and had a great time with karaoke. On the way out, the bouncers were very abusive, even before 2AM (their closing time), and with a downpour outside while we awaited Ubers. That terrible experience makes me say, don’t support this business. Bouncers very aggressive and not worth it.

Came to Mezcalero lastnight to celebrate a birthday and ambience and drinks were definitely a great start to our night. This place is located above padre which is a restaurant that serves really good food. Parking is available on the street. Drinks ran about $11 and above. SUE YOU ARE THE BEST BARTENDER! Service was amazing, the cucumber specialty drink was soooooo delicious and refreshing. There is a patio with open sitting, I recommend it for a date night or even a night out with friends.

FAT SECURITY RUINED OUR NIGHT.Food was great. I ordered the Ropa Vieja. A group of friends we went to Celebrate a birthday, we aet dinner and after that we planned on going upstairs to the outside patio to play UNO and drink.BUT one of our girl friends who is 40 years old, her Driver License got expired a month ago, which she did not notice before. THE FAT SECURITY RUINED OUR NIGHT. He did not let her get in the patio, even though she was not planning on drinking alcohol, she was trying to find another type of ID and just join the group that was already at the patio. But he made a big deal out of a small situation. He was very negative, violent, and trying to get in front of a short lady, when the lady was speaking very calm. We were trying to ask a question, or trying to understand the situation and see how we could make it work for everyone (some flexibility), since the rest of us, we were trying to consume all night and obviously not ruin our friends bday.The Fat security kept saying he did not care of loosing business even though, the 12 people we had to leave and that he did not care because he was not the owner. BAD Experience with the Fat security was acting like if he was a COP, he did not let us talk, was almost screening and acting up.I won't recommend the BAR area. We ended up leaving to Sevilla's in LB were they treated us very nice, my friend got a small bday cake and a drink for free, which was unexpected.Parking: we uber

This was a really cute spot! We found metered parking within walking distance. Unfortunately the patio was closed for a private event until about 9:30 so we were limited to the bar area in the mean time. The bartenders were chill. It did start getting busy at around 9:30 pm. The music was lively. The drinks were interesting but tasty. Very nice presentation and overall ambiance.

I stopped by here after hearing about their Taco Tuesday special! They normally don't serve food, but they had a taco stand in the patio on Tuesdays! The tacos were tasty and much better with the hot salsa.This is a great place to meet friends for drinks. The patio is spacious and the bartenders make sure your drinks are flowing! I would definitely come back here for the delicious drinks!

I went on a Saturday night and it was extremely packed like theres no way you can walk by without touching everyone. The bartenders are cool and had very excellent service for the amount of people there was. However, the drinks just tasted so strong, I had 2 mezcal drinks and they were not my preferred taste. One had a super smoky taste and the other was supposed to taste like coconut but it didn't. There is also zeroo parking.
