Finally got around to checking this place out. The service was great! Our server was so nice and friendly, he told us all about the alcohol and how the place came to be.The drink is the Rosa Collins and it is made with their hibiscus gin. It wasn’t my cup of tea, but it looked pretty! I’ll probably try a different cocktail next time. The food was soo soo tasty! I loved the fried zucchini, it came out cold but I’m not sure if it was supposed to be warm or not! It comes with 6 but I forgot to take the picture before sampling some ? I got the Nashville Spicy chicken sandy and it came with fries. It was very tasty and not too spicy.

Place is great, food even better and the staff are the best part. The coconut shrimp are the bomb!

I ordered the curry salmon, and instead of rice, I did get plantains! The curry salmon had the most perfect flavor! The plantains were fried to perfection, and it was delicious! I also got the shrimp polenta, and it was really good! I am definitely coming back to this place!

Chic cocktails made from their own distillery. The mixologist with the curly tash was awesome and the suggested cocktail had an amazing flavor profile

Drinks were good but the food was a struggle. There were six of us in our party and none of us enjoyed our meal (all different items). Food seemed pre-made, old, banquet type food, it was just strange. Maybe it was a bad day for the kitchen??? ‍

The food did not taste fresh, nor was it tastey. Portion size was excellent, but who cares if you don't want to eat what's on your plate. The cocktails were really poorly balanced in flavor. A huge disappointment given that the place is a distillery. One would think that the cocktails would be a highlight to showcase the products of the distillery. I was hoping that the server could make recommendations for drinks based on relayed preferences, but the server barely spoke to our table all night.

Came here for happy hour (M-F 3-6), and we were super stoked to check this place out since they distill their spirits and make cocktails out of them. Walking in, I immediately noticed the boat that hung over the tables in the corner. We later found out the boat was once used to smuggle in rum in the local Portuguese Bend area. It got burnt in a garage fire, and has since been converted into a lighting at the distillery. The server was also very kind and gave us a sample of the spirits. Unfortunately, we liked but didn't love the cocktails we ordered. Perhaps we will return and try out other things on the menu. When we were leaving, we noticed they had DJs setting up upstairs. Seems like a good spot for a Friday night!

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because of the atmosphere and service, but ultimately, the two cocktail drinks I tried are keeping me at a solid 3. Portuguese Bend Distillery makes their own vodka, rum, gin, and rye. I tasted their smoked dry gin and rye which was a fun experience. I like making gin at home so it's nice to get to try that before having it in a cocktail. The drinks came quickly and I believe they're premade. I tried the seasonal gin & tonic and dark & stormy. Unfortunately, both were peculiar tasting and a miss for me. I was hesitant to try anything else after that and chose not to mention it to our server/bartender.

Great service and delicious food! I had the tri-tip sandwich and hubby has shrimp and grits. Awesome cocktails! Will be back for more soon.

Enjoyed happy hour here. I also did a gin tasting. The cool part is that if you decide the buy a bottle the price of the tasting goes toward the price of the bottle. The coconut shrimp and fries were quite tasty too.

I had a time trying out this restaurant. The service was great and the food was delicious as well.I tried the coconut shrimp and it was very good. Their sauces all are house made. I ordered their mule as a drink and our server shared they make their own ginger beer and I would give it a 4/5 for the drink but their to die for cocktail was waaay better. Overall, the service was great, love the ambience and I would definitely go back!

Our waiter was amazing!! There were four people in our group and it was a bit difficult to talk because the music was pretty loud. There were many choices for the food and it was good.

We found lots to love here and would definitely come back if we lived in Long Beach. Happy hour is an incredible bargain and starts at 3 pm with lots of food and house-made cocktails marked waaay down in price. We shared the Nashville hot fried chicken tenders and a bacon lettuce tomato avocado green salad with honey mustard dressing. The kitchen clearly knows what's up. The fried chicken was just amazing -- outstanding crispness, great sauce, two dipping sauces on the side and a big plate of very satisfying french fries underneath. We actually could have had a second helping of these tasty babies. The salad was nice, too, with just the right amount of dressing. Jack, our great server, came up with a nice bowl of cole slaw on the side to go with the fried chicken -- it's normally only featured on the hot chicken sandwich. No cocktails for us today but the house-made ginger beer on ice was original and really refreshing. There's a nice, very large and very dog-friendly patio outside, and inside the vibe is great with a large bar. The actual distillery is also on full display behind large glass windows. All this food and drink was under $40 before tip at happy hour -- amazing value, really, at a nice place in the heart of downtown LB. Well done, folks. You've got a winner here.

This place has such good vibes, and the staff is a Delight. I was enjoying the IV bag they were serving the Halloween special Rum transfusion in, but the drink itself didn't strike me well. So, when i was resigned to not getting one, i ordered a vodka cranberry, and my friends asked for the Fanciest glass they had. And let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. My vodka cranberry showed up in a tiger! And the i ordered another and it came in a panda!!! When i say I was delighted, that is an understatement. What a fun place.Edit: my server's name was Joshua. You made my night, Joshua!!!

Came here with a friend and we each got a drink and shared fried zucchini. We both tried drinks from the October menu and they were good! I don't recall what was in each, but we had the Devil's Whiskers and Eye See Dead People. Our bartender was also really cool! I feel bad for never getting his name, but he was so rad!
