I been here since 2008 and I usually don’t reviews, but I feel like the taste has changed. The servers changed from the last time I saw. The salsa is a lot hotter, which is good, but I can’t have consistent chips w hot salsa. Love the new flavor, but I’m just old person who doesn’t like change. I hope this restaurant to be the best. But I’m old school nostalgic person who comes here time to time for old school flavor. Good, but just not for me.

Before the food used to be good with good presentation. The new people now make the food so ugly and nasty. No flavor at all and taste like reused oil. Never coming back again.

All the food was incredibly under-seasoned and old tasting. No love in this food, won’t be back.

We love this place. Best authentic Mexican food in Los Al. The tortas with carne asada are killer, their chili rellenos amazing (try them in the burrito), and the carnitas are great in anything. We always get to go as it's a tiny place with only a couple seats. Totally love this place.

1st time here. Sadly, we won't be back. The bag of tortilla chips was cold and old. I ordered a Chicken Tostada salad with the flour tortilla shell. The shell was not fried at the correct temperature. It was greasy and unappealing. There was a pile of chicken, but it was tasteless like it came from a can? No cheese, little lettuce, tasteless beans. I threw more than 1/2 away. We also ordered carnitas plate. This too - there was plenty of meat, but, #1 it was cold, #3 it was shredded within an inch of its life. I don't know if you can buy carnitas in a bag?, but it wasn't good. Again, we threw more than half of it away. The guacamole was dark and rubbery on top - indicating that it wasn't fresh. The rice and beans could be delicious, but they were just a plate filler. We also ordered some beef taquitos. No little pico de gallo to go with it just another glop of brown guacamole. The prices increased from the menu I was using online. There are so many Mexican food places around with prices equal to or less expensive than this little take out place with higher quality and people showing more attention to the food they serve.

New ownership, but the food still great, and I highly recommend their shredded beef tacos

Chicken taco is the best thing you will ever eat. I don't even like chicken tacos, but what they do here is ungodly

If you order here, order ahead because it gets BUSY and with good reason! I haven't been able to find a great local Mexican food place for months and suddenly stumbled upon this gem. Absolutely phenomenal food that satisfies any craving. They have classic dishes like chile relleno, chile verde, burritos, tacos, and fajitas. Everything is made to order and the hardworking cooks make it just right. There are lunch specials to try out when you're hungry. Aquas frescas are available to quench your thirst. The last time I went I had the asada nachos. The meat was perfectly marinated, the chips freshly made, with delicious toppings. Oh my gosh it was the best meal of the week.

Update: unfortunately, the original family that owned the place who has been there since I was in high school no longer owns the restaurant. I don't know why they decided to sell, but I hope they are ok! The new owners have changed the prices (more expensive) and the menu items (smaller and just, not as good quality). Looks like I'll have to find a new favorite Mexican restaurant.

I been coming here for over 20 years and I guess they have new owners and their food has changed and really disappointed in that too Casitas and the best Mexican food around and just stuck with the original recipes they've been through new owners a and they always kept it that way the beans and rice not even come close beans taste like like it came out of a can and not trying to be rude but they had something good going there that's why they're there for so long I guess I won't be going back there anymore.
