Just walked in hoping to get some cheese. There were 5 workers discussing on their birthday plans. Was standing there for 4 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. It was met with a “be right with you”. We waited another 2 min. Then finally the woman said “how I can I help you”. I started to say we wanted some cheese and she turned her attention back to the discussion about the birthday. We tried a few more times. Finally, we just said to her. We are leaving. She said ok! Obviously, none of the workers cares about our business. Extremely upsetting

Popular for their deli sandwiches, which folks do start lining up at 11am for, this little shop in charming Larchmont Village is cozy with some good products too. The menu for their deli is short and to the point goodness. You only get to choose from a Mozzarella, Soppressata Salami, Turkey, Prosciutto, and a vegetarian. There is also a limited availability of Tuna Salad. There is a choice of a French Style Baguette or a Ciabatta. The Baguette is the go-to choice and it is very similar to the ones used at an unsaid famous Italian deli in Santa Monica. Their popular sandwiches are somewhat reasonably priced, but they are not big deli sandwiches. Most will find them adequately sized. The accompanying ingredients from quality cheeses, spreads, lettuce/arugula, and olive oil lend to a moist and balanced sandwich. Parking in Larchmont Village can be a challenge. There is a public lot, but mostly you may have to resort to street-side parking with meters.

The best sandwiches on the block. Also a wonderful selection of treats and beverages. My girlfriend and I love the #4 and #7 . Highly recommended.

Great neighborhood wine shop with sandwiches during lunchtime. Highly recommend if you need some helping picking out that special holiday bottle. Store could up its friendliness game especially if they want more sales. Parking is public parking lot right across street or on the side streets near Larchmont which is 2 hour parking.

0 starsI bough a sandwich with a hair in it and was basically told by the manager that I should have eaten it. He is arrogant Pompous and totally dismissive. The staff are all scared of him. That is no way to run a bizniz Mr Manager. Ive been going there since they opened in (95 I think) worse customer service Ive ever encountered in AmericaTo serve a person food with a hair in it is not only disgusting but a serious food violation. To not even acknowledge that is very poorAll I wanted was a "So Sorry" I wasnt looking for anything else.I couldnt get that out of Mr Manager. I was left feeling humiliated and got the impression that I was unimportant to himHe livened up when I told him where I lived!! Totally unacceptable. All people demand the same respect Mr Manager. No matter who they are or where they live.Never going back

Disgusting customer service. I asked the employee at the till, I think his name is Oliver, if I could look at the merchandise they kept only by the window which is where they also chose to keep their prepared sandwich orders and the employee said yes. I specifically went into the shop to buy a piece of merch as a gift souvenir as this is my friend’s favourite deli but I still had to decide which option to go for. They don’t have pictures of their merchandise on their social nor on their website so this was the only way for me to look at the items. As I was deliberating, the same employee aggressively yelled at me to get out of the way. I was startled and tried moving out of the way but he kept yelling at me to just leave. I grabbed a couple pieces of the merch as he continued to yell at me, feeling shocked and humiliated, and I moved over to the other side of the store to continue my task. I made a decision and went to the till and the employee didn’t even apologise or acknowledge what happened. I understand the shop is busy and it can be overwhelming but it’s unacceptable to treat people, let alone customers, this way. If your instinct is aggression rather than having a problem solving mentality, then you’re especially unfit for a customer service job. Why place merchandise you want to sell in an area inaccessible for customers to view them? Not surprised by the other bad reviews I read. I shared what happened with my friends and they told me they also experienced unwelcoming behaviour by the staff here.

Extremely well curated wine selection and excellent sandwiches! THE BEST OF LA

Some of the best sandwiches in the area if not in LA. Come early as they run out quickly.

Great fresh sandwiches. Price point very reasonable. Only two tables out front, so that could use improvement. People working were friendly enough. Would recommend.

A college roommate of mine originally from LA introduced me to the sandwiches here more than a decade ago and I been making the drive whenever I can to get my hands on them. Come early, the sandwiches are sold until they run out of bread. And speaking of bread this is perhaps one of the controversial aspect that you are seeing in the reviews. Yes they are “hard chewy” but it’s exactly what makes the sandwiches great for me. The sandwiches are relatively simple made with quality ingredients, yet the “hardness” of the bread adds a layer of complexity - stimuli from added texture in every bite. My go to is the salami but I have tried the others in the menu and they all been satisfying to me. There is no dine-in option, however there are a few tables outside if you can grab one. Parking is a challenge but if you drive a little further down the avenue, finding some street parking in the residential area is easy.

We’ve been coming here since 2005. We will come in town and we will make it a point to stop here every single time to have their sandwiches and macaroni and potato salad. It is absolutely delicious.

Although I was just a delivery driver making a delivery, my interaction with Jessie solidified me coming back as a customer. Thank you, Jessie, for being extremely friendly and helpful. Your kindness does not go unrecognized. You are a gem. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a great selection of wine and friendly service.

I love their sandwiches! Such good tinned fish, chips and wine selection.I love coming here to pick up something to go before Jazz at LACMA. They never have tuna salad when I go but I hope that one day I can try their famous tuna salad.

I lived nearby from this place, and my old office was also nearby on Wilshire Blvd - going to Larchmont Village was good choice to have a lunch. There was people waiting outside of the door for ordering the amazing sandwich. Once they run out of bread for the day, they’re done so don’t be surprised if there is long line when you get there. I usually order the fresh salami banquette sandwich was always delicious. The shop also sells wines and nice variety of cheese.Meter parking can be hard to find during lunch hour. Try parking on the side streets otherwise you might be circling around for the parking space.
