I absolutely love coming here in particular for the facials and nail services. You can’t beat the prize and the students are always very friendly. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip them. They do a great job and it’s a great price regardless especially in a living in Los Angeles.

This was the type of experience where I was kicking myself for doing it all the way home. First of all the parking options are limited and expensive. I parked at a meter and ended up paying $10 for a couple of hours. At this rate it's better to park in the lot where it's more secure since the area is sketch. Someone ended up stealing my credit card information from the parking meter so that sucked. I immediately got charges online for hundreds of dollars. not the schools fault but I wanted to share. My appointment was 45 minutes late for an unknown reason. This added to the stress of paying for the parking meter and wasted my time. The actual facial was far from what a facial should be with consideration that a student was performing the service. I think this might have been her first time. She was nice but was scared to touch my face and even though I paid for a Gua sha she lightly rubbed the stone against my face for 3 minutes which was unacceptable since I paid $50. I think that the price for the lackluster service is ridiculous and I would not recommend getting it here. Her supervisor should have been present to walk her through the process and give feedback.

I tried to attend this school but 5K is way out of my budget. To anyone looking to take the manicurist course, I suggest you look into Abram Friedman Occupational. Great teacher and less than half the cost. Granted the kits don’t come with everything we need but the teacher goes out of her way to purchase things you need. Shout out to Ms. Loria! I’d retake this course multiple times if I could just because the teacher did an exceptional job at making sure we’re all confident in our work and that we pass state board test.

I'm going back to here now that the students are back! $40+ for a blowout and gloss (they use the same clear redken everywhere else does) and the blowouts are consistent, takes a bit longer but they're students and they have allowed me to bring my pup, they've doated on him and been very efficient. See you this weekend! -Katarina

One of my nail techs teaches here. Her name is BeBe, and she is great nail tech & teacher. I ended up being a student named Jasmine's first gel pedicure. She did a great job. I mean looks the same as the $160 pedicure I get somewhere else. Go Jasmine. I also got to see and cheer for 3 students graduating while I was there. They get to walk and ring a bell, and all of their family and friends were there with balloons and flowers. Really exciting. Back to the pedicure, Jasmine was extremely detailed oriented and kept checking to see how the water temperature and how I was doing overall. Bebe would consistently come over to check on the process of give any necessary tips. You can tell Jasmine felt really comfortable with BeBe because if she has a question she'd ask. She really only had one question, and it was during the gel removal process from my previous gel pedicure. Overall, I got a gel pedicure with gel removal, callus remover, and paraffin wax for like $28. Don't not come here, if you are going to have an attitude or be rude/impatient. The services may take longer because they are students that are learning. Be kind, encouraging, and relax. :). There is no option to tip as the front desk (you pay before services); so, I would highly encourage you to bring cash and tip. Unfortunately, I did not know this detail and was not able to tip Jasmine for her great service.

I just want to give my honest review. After completing this program, and passing state-board on the first try. This school , the Neihules, and staff are wonderful, even Brenda (we love you gurllll). The teachers are amazing, and some greater then others! You can learn alot if YOU apply yourself here. It all starts with YOU. I wish i hadnt missed so much as a student thats my only regret. They have classes for everything you want to get into. From haircuts, color classes, to facial, lashes, nails! I mean the list goes on to whatever you want to apply yourself too. But definitely keep in mind you don't have to attend every class and purchase every kit haha thats what i did and stuck with items i know i wont get into in my career. The school is beautiful Yvonne and Autuzo really put there heart and soul into this place. From the esthetician rooms to the salon floor. I honestly miss coming here. I want to thank the teachers no longer here especially Mrs Flores! And Thank you Miss Lizz , Darvina, miss cece, miss cici. And Danielle is the best person to go to for any questions, life questions!! The school really knows how to pick there staff and its almost like a second home for you. Im really gonna miss everyone. And they just added a really amazing teacher named Michelle to the teachers list for cosmetology , i wish i was still attending to learn from her! She is amazing! Im attaching photos of my work as a student here , the training speaks for itself.

Yesterday, I spoke to one lady on the phone about coming in today for a mani pedi. She told me I could walk in and was very friendly. Today, when I showed up, after driving 2 hours and paying $10 to park a few blocks away, a different lady at the front door turned me away and said that no walk ins are allowed while she is working. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I spoke to one woman on the phone yesterday who said I could walk in for a mani pedi today. The lady at the front desk today said they don't do walk ins while she is working. I literally drove 2 hours and paid $10 to park a couple blocks away and then was told this. She says that students call friends and family to get services on weekends and they don't take clients unless prior appointments are made. Don't waste your time or money here.
They did an amazing job, the location is beautiful as well! I will be back next time I'm in LA.

For those who are interested in applying to beauty school here: please read all the 1 star reviews and know that if you keep doing your research- there are other amazing beauty schools in Los Angeles. My money for tuition was basically spent on "theory" which was the instructor, Miss D., reading word for word out of the textbook to highlight what was on the board exam and youtube videos WHICH I COULD WATCH AT HOME. The review for any test involves giving you the answer. If you fail a test, it's because you weren't in class that day. My classmates and I were definitely frustrated with the lack of structure the school obtained. They build up Tulum- vibes to sell you on the layout of the school but little do the students know that the curriculum is so unorganized and straight wack. To the owners the students are just dollar signs- it's seriously so dishearten. When I confronted them about the discrepancy in some of the girls tuition amount, they denied it.And even in the mist of a pandemic they canceled class but still wanted to charge us. LIKE WTF?! They didn't even suggest zoom classes until some students spoke up. Yvonne is the co-owner of the spa with a very short temper. I'm honestly so embarrassed for her the way she handles situations. All the staff including Danielle (front desk administrator), Ms. CeCe (nail instructor super unprofessional!!! The only good thing I can say about this academy was Miss Alex. She was extremely dedicated and passionate about teaching the students about skincare. She went beyond and above to teach her students. Any questions I had she was able to answer them and even show me (even if it wasn't in the state board curriculum) but too bad they let a good one get away. She is no longer teaching at the academy. I hope this helps anyone reading this to reconsidering spending your hard earned money for another school that's not run by scam artist.

In 2021, I decided I wanted to make a career change and started looking into beauty schools that would work with my work schedule. Working with this school from the very beginning was smooth and straightforward.I was able to schedule a tour by reaching out to them via Instagram Direct Message (DM) and Ms. Yvonne (one of the owners) responded right away and was very accommodating. I set a date to tour Neihule Academy on 10/15/21. Upon arriving, Mr. Atouzo (the owner) sat down and explained the esthetician program and the extra classes that were available. Afterwards, he gave me a tour of the school and was very informative.Fast forward a few months later, I decided that this was the school for me and I set out to enroll in mid-January 2022 before leaving the country for vacation. I enrolled and was set to start their (night) Esthetician Program on 1/31/22.My experience was wonderful from the very beginning and the highlight of my day was going to class after finishing my day job. My educators were wonderful and it was so much fun being able to learn from them in such a beautiful environment. Special shout out to the best teachers - Ms. Darvina and Ms. Cameron! I was also educated by Ms. Lauree' and Ms. Sunshine but they are no longer there. If you're in LA or out of the county and are looking to attend the best cosmetology school, this is the school for you. Overall, the educators and most students here are passionate and you can see it in their work! From a client perspective, you are in great hands when getting a hair, skin, or nail service done here. I've also had nothing but wonderful interactions with the other educators (Ms. Ceci and Ms. CeeCee for nails and Ms. Flores for hair) and they are always around the students when they are performing services on clients. Before attending beauty school, I was very selective on who touched my hair, skin, and nails but after being a student myself, I knew that my classmates are talented and are well-guided by their instructors. I'll attach some pictures of my hair and nails that were done on me :)10/10 love this place and would recommend whether you're interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology, esthetics, or nails AND if you're looking to be a customer getting any of the three services done.
