Excellent food, killer place and awesome neighborhood. would be 5 stars but think I had rookie staff with bad attitude. Not an elitist but but a bit more staff training would be welcome. Bar / Drinks fantastic, Girlfriend's Prime Rib was like butter and my Rib Eye (I do not say this lightly) was better than I could cook. I will always eat at Taylor's.

First time trying a steakhouse in LA and I was definitely blown away. Despite how dark it was inside, as there was barely any lighting, the food was bombastic. For appetizer, we had the London broil and escargot. The London broil was good especially with the horseradish, but the meat was slightly chewy. The escargot was perfect, but it is an acquired taste. For our entrees, we had the Porterhouse and Dinner Cut with a side of mash potatoes. All steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly, but I wish there was a sauce. Mash potatoes were good, but nothing crazy. Overall, I highly recommend Taylor's if you are looking for good steaks that aren't super overpriced.

Taylor's is the classic American steakhouse, complete with plush red booths, dark wood, and heavily framed paintings adorning the walls. The staff is always on point and there when you need them. I've been eating here for years but finally decided just to perch at the bar and have some appetizers and a martini (or two) instead of a full dinner. What a good choice! Luis, our bartender, whisked our drinks and food to us while not rushing us. We started with the calamari, always good, followed by the classic Molly salad. One tip if you get it: ask for extra dressings on the side. Yes, it has two dressings: bleu cheese and Italian which mix beautifully. We polished things off with their indescribably good (and large) prime rib sliders and their filet mignon Texas chili (made by our very own Luis we found out). The bar is a great place for a casual, relaxed dinner. Go!

Better than mussos and franks. And I love mussos. Sit downstairs. They did a decent job of the upstairs room but it lacks the charm of the original main room. Had the escargot, crab cakes and the filet mignon. All delicious. They give you frozen butter which is useless. Shame because the bread is great. Glass of wine was larger than expected and delicious desert menu.

Ambiance takes you back to the old school leather booths , jazz music lovely , food we had the tomahawk steak , and the sides were delicious cream spinach, reg spinach, and broccolini , bacon wrapped scallops delicious we asked for the chef, chef Fernando was awesome we had to applaud his delicious seasoning! He is a Le cordon Bleu grad and it shows!!! The desserts were also delicious made from scratch! Expresso martinis made perfect , the server was also amazing Petra I think her name was anyway all staff was very attentive! This place is a must try as you guys know I am a little hard to impress and I was very impressed by this place !
