For tacos in LA, Nueva is a tad pricey but worth it for the servers & atmosphere. You can make a reservation on the Resy app and they have valet available if you can’t find street parking.Seating:The patios are both spacious and dog friendly. The one where we sat was covered (rain-safe) and well heated. They also brought a water bowl for my dog Olaf!Apps:The green cilantro emulsion sauce that comes with the Crispy Cauliflower ($15) is the best part, with lime, jalapeño, and Parmesan cheese. My friend got the pork taco and really appreciated that it had the same cilantro emulsion on top.Tacos:The tacos are priced individually, so be aware of this while ordering. I found 2 tacos + sharing an appetizer was enough food for me. I really appreciated that their tacos are served on gluten free, organic blue corn tortillas. The Shrimp Taco was one of the specials of the evening and it was my favorite of the two I tried. The Braised Short Rib Taco ($7.50) had a mezcal glaze, cabbage slaw, radish, and cucumber, topped with cilantro. I wish there had been more sauce or salsa on the short rib taco because it was a little drier than I’d expected, but it was still tasty.Mocktails:I love that they had non-alcoholic cocktail options for those not drinking. The Passionfruit Picante Spritz ($9) is refreshing, with passionfruit, habanero, Thai chili, tamarind, and lime mineral water. It was even served in a cute glass with an orchid flower. I do wish they had another type of straw, such as agave, instead of the paper straw because it started to bend.Cocktails:The Tepache Mule ($17) was very popular at our table. With mezcal, pineapple tepache, ginger, lime, mineral water, and bitters. It also was very visually appealing with two pineapple leaves as a garnish.

Nueva exceeded my expectations on the last visit.Came with two friends, and we sat on their cheerful patio under a heat lamp, so we were warm and cozy!We shared:* Hamachi Tostadas. So fresh, tangy and good!* Chips and Guacamole. A classic. Excellent guacamole.* Shrimp Tacos. The evening special. Probably the best shrimp taco I've ever had. Juicy and delicious.* Crispy Cauliflower. Perfectly prepared. Crunchy and flavorful.I had two of the Reina Picante drinks: very strong and delicious, and served with a Tamarind straw.Returned this week with my boyfriend and had the same food and drinks, plus:* Carne Asada Quesadilla. Served like a crunch wrap with guacamole and salsa.* Pork Belly Taco. So incredibly good!* Chicken Tinga Taco. Boyfriend thought this was just okay.I love Nueva because they can accommodate any diet. They have lots of vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and meat items. Something delicious for everyone in your dinner party.Nueva is in my neighborhood, so I plan to wander down more frequently for tasty drinks and snacks!

I usually don't write reviews but if you're a resident or visiting LA, you need to add Nueva to your list of food spots. The nachos are simply the best i've had at any restaurant, and the servers (shoutout to Tory) are polite and friendly. I was recommended the grilled southwest chicken and was very satisfied with it, will definitely be back next time I'm in LA!

Was planning on spending the evening at “The Little Friend” that’s behind this restaurant. The place was dead. So walked over to Nueva instead. So glad we did. Everything worked out well. Food and drinks were tasty and good sized portions. Due to the holidays, the place was less busy than would be typical based on our read of the place. Server staff was attentive and food arrived quickly.

We came in for bottomless mimosas on Sunday but come to find out they stopped offering it a while back. Luckily they still offered a bottle of champagne with OJ for $20. Not bad at all. We ended up ordering like three bottles which basically was like ordering bottomless for us. We only had a order of nachos with carne asada since we were heading to another spot for lunch. Chip were freshly made and real crispy, excellent amount of cheese, and only downside was the meat. Unfortunately it wasn't very flavorful or tender. I'd probably opt for guacamole on top rather than the carne asada next time. The waitress and busser were very nice and came around quite often to check up on us.

Great food and good bar scene. Cauliflower dish can't be missed....yes, you know it! Several dishes are available vegan.

This place is walking distance from my house so i've been here multiple times! The food is good, the drinks are great and they can easily host very large parties on short notice. The host and the manager were also so sweet and accommodating the last time I was here and we had a party of 18 and our reservation was messed up. I will say on the flip side, the energy can be a little dead. It's never really full inside so even though the decor is super cute it not really lively. Also, although they can seat big parties, our waitress seemed a tiny bit overwhelmed but luckily we weren't in a rush.

Nueva is a charming Mexican establishment with a cool twist on some dishes. The ceviche is fresh & delicious and I'm a big fan of the octopus tacos. Plenty of drink options, great for a sunny weekend afternoon as they have a large outdoor patio.

Their outdoor space is expansive and wonderful. Shady and cool on a hot day. The service is outstanding. My margarita was awesome. The food was less inspiring. We were there for brunch and I went with the breakfast bowl, trying to be a little healthier. I didn't love it. We also ordered the cloud pancakes to share at the table, and those were good. I would definitely return to try happy hour or dinner, as maybe I just ordered wrong.

Mediocre at best. Dishes are very small with cheap ingredients. For example, breakfast burrito was mostly rice. The seafood cocktail was a small bowl with chips. We really didn’t like anything that we ordered and it was super expensive.

Having been to Belles Beach House earlier that night, this is where I wish we had gone first. Nueva has a festive ambiance with mostly open air seating and a super-friendly staff. Strong and balanced margaritas. We ordered half a dozen dishes from the menu and I liked everything, but the ceviche and the nachos really hit the spot. Out of the tacos, my favorite was the sea bass.

Service was good and was a good crowd on on a Friday night. Ceviche was good. Guacamole could be better. I also wish they had grilled fish tacos instead of fried.

just flew into LA, i was absolutely heaving to have something in my stomach; thank you Nueva for existing. i have a deep love for any seafood taco, so the seabass taco was an easy pick. let me tell yall, that taco was hands down the slayest thing that i evr consumed - and i dont say that often. the elote, although its the smallest thingy evr, i was absolutely hypnotized with the flavour. like i said, the portion is giving scarce, its giving Costco sample size - but nonetheless, it ate. def come here if ur looking for some bomb.com food

Nueva is such a cute restaurant in Marina Del Rey that has outdoor seating with festive mexican colors as their theme. Came here for lunch with a friend, the food was a bit light but very flavorful. We started with the Raicilla cocktail which was really good but had a subtle taste of mezcal (was trying to avoid the mezcal). We ordered Hamichi Tostadas, they were BEAUTIFULLY made and looked great on the plate, it was super fresh but very small. We also got the chicken tinga nachos which we shared and tasted amazing. The elote was good but wasn't really what we expected, it was just corn and tajin. We wanted another drink so we ordered a Tepache mule. Trying to avoid the mezcal, this drink tasted even MORE like mezcal, and a mule really shouldn't taste like that. Totally my mistake! This place was great for a quick lunch with nice ambiance but if I come back here make sure to request no mezcal. Also, the parking is scarce to try to get street parking, that the best deal-rather than paying $12 for valet.
