Got the Fried Chicken Sandwich! The chicken was surely re-fried a lot of times. The chicken tastes stale. Going by the reviews, was excited about this place. Well, bad choice!!! You're better off buying a cold sandwich at safeway!

When I went to pick up my order, I did not realize that it was in a different restaurant. I had to look through some reviews here to learn about where this restaurant is located. When I finally figured it out, it was straight-forward to get my order. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. The sandwich size was quite large and it was quite tasty between the fried chicken and the slaw. The weak point was probably the bread. Overall, pretty good fried chicken sandwich for a reasonable price.

The food has great flavors but they are very inconsistent with the the quality of how they prepare their food. First time I ordered their fried chicken plate and fries through doordash. My chicken was seasoned well , the outside of the chicken was actually nice and crispy , the inside was not fully cooked , the salad was great , my biscuit was very hard stale not edible , and my fries were amazing. After a while I decided to order again through door Dash for lunch because I felt maybe it was just that one time they didn't prepare the food well. So today my fries were horrible , the salad was horrible ,the biscuit was soft, and the chicken was delicious. I don't know what their deal is with how the food is cooked and prepared. Well now I know to not order again and make it a third time .

I bought (doordash) the fried chicken entree and the flipped chicken entree. This chicken was extremely dry and bland. The flipped chicken entree was much smaller than what was pictured. It came with some sort of oil that didn't go very well with the chicken. The fried chicken sandwich was a good size. The slaw was alright, and the chicken was bland so it mainly tasted of bread and mayo. Majority of the potato chips were stuck together. I definitely think they could do better. Only reason I'd go back is their prices are pretty reasonable.

We ordered the chicken strips and chicken sandwich both of which were edible but not enjoyable. We had a side of fries which were just a bummer. Lastly, we had a magic bar which had a magical description but a reality check of taste, that being underwhelming flavor. Pretty bunk meal experience, would not recommend.

Take out only at the moment, it's inside another restaurant so you might get confused where this place is. Apparently they share the same kitchen with other restaurant. Order ahead online. We got the fake chicken and fried chicken sandwich. Both were really good! Good to try if you're in the area. Maybe grab before you go for a picnic or something

I ordered a fried chicken sandwich from Proposition Chicken after following them on social media for the past year and seeing their great posts. However, I did not live or work near one until the past few months which is why I finally got a chance to try it. I ordered online via DoorDash so I cannot speak for the restaurant location but placing the order online is easy enough. The sandwich was a fairly average size, for the price tag of around $12 I was expecting a much larger size and it was only accompanied by some chips. I will say it has a good amount of seasoning so it does have some great flavor but the crispy factor is not quite up to my expectations. Decent order, but unless they add a good crisp factor to their sandwiches or make bigger portions not sure I would pay $12 for another one of their sandwiches.

I got the Flipped Chicken entree and it was pretty disappointing tbh. :( It's a rotisserie chicken entree w/ corn bread and a minty tomato cucumber salad. The corn bread was the star of the dish, it was sweet and had great flavor! The chicken was pretty dry and didn't have much seasoning except for on the skin. This definitely needed some type of sauce because the relish flavored oil that they provided didn't compliment the chicken at all. I also got fries and those came with a ranch, I ended up dipping the chicken into the ranch and it tasted pretty good! Probably wouldn't have been able to finish the dish without the ranch tbh.

Although this is not for.me- the responsiveness of the owners deserve you to give it a try! Don't take my review as gospel try it for yourself. I ordered through Doordash and chicken breast was cold and tough. When I checked the other 2 pieces they were both warm and seemed fresh. The breast seemed old. The chicken that I did eat lacked flavor and the I bit into bone where there should not have been bone. . I willl never oder from there again. A complete waist of my money. threw most of it way and fixed me a cup of noodle and that was more satisfying then the food from here. I love chicken but this is not the spot!
Proposition Chicken is one of my very favorite lunch places in the area. I'm allergic to spicy food, and not only did they customize my slaw, they also wrote a handwritten note for the changes they made. 11/10. So delicious

Got two orders of the fried chicken plate. The chicken itself wasn't too bad - thick but tasty breading and not dry chicken. My biggest beef was the cornbread. One of them was stale on the inside and the other one was just rock hard. Tasted stale as well. Bleh.

A decent sandwich, i wish they had more options and toppings like pickle and different hot sauces. the only noticable topping was the non spicy slaw. Bread and chicken itself were good tho. also odd how long it took, the online order said a lot longer than it would normally take to make a sandwich, but it was carefully stored in a warm place until pickup.

I am a true fried chicken lover. We try and support our Menlo Park restaurants and almost all of them are excellent privately owned establishments with friendly service and good food. I had high hopes for Proposition Chicken so we ordered 2 fried chicken dinners. Both dinners arrived tepid though we are 5 minutes away and the chicken and crust were virtually rock hard, dried out and tasteless. My wife's corn bread was so rock hard we couldn't eat it and the pickle salad had shavings of raw onion in it. For the first time ever we put both dinners in the garbage and ordered from another restaurant. The dinner was so bad I would not give this restaurant a second chance. Steve G.

You get some chips with it but it's only a hand full and they aren't that great. I'd give it a 7/10. The magic bar wasn't my thing but I can see others liking it. In future I'd love to see the option for Dutch Crunch bread and different chips flavors.
