The ice cream is always cold and fresh! What a great place. The people that work here are always polite and eager to help. The inside is such a classic look with the cool wooden train. This place is so reasonably priced and the money goes to helping people that have had a rough go at life. Some have learning disabilities and some are just gaining skills to join the workforce. This is our go to ice cream parlor in Modesto.

If you want to go to a family friendly place and forego all the corporate chain establishments all over the city, this is your place. They are committed to employ people with challenges that might need a chance, which is great. I only deducted 1 star because I would like more low fat/low calorie options here. Some tiny portion options and fat free or low fat options would be nice and appreciated. When you eat here, you know you are eating large but sometimes you'd like to scale that down and not go completely off the rails of a diet.
