Stopped in for some sandwich to bring to butterfly beach and was met with amazing and extremely friendly service. Also the sandwich quality and options were excellent.

Great sandwiches, and great attitude by the helper who made our six sandwiches.However... order made online and by phone at 10:50, with 11:05 as the promised pickup time. Am in a terrific time crunch getting ready for an event this afternoon. Have to get to another pickup at noon in downtown Santa Barbara, after dropping sandwiches off back home. I'm 10 minute drive away. Gave them 10 extra minutes to assure quick pickup. Arrived 11:15 to see none of the sandwiches started, just bread laid out. Then the owner/manager, not sure which, is delivering a sandwich to a table outside... he's not working on our order, having delegated that to his employee. Just my order and the table of 2 outside at this point. Then he delivers a second sandwich to the outside table. Then another guy arrives, orders a bunch of bagle somethings, and the owner/manager is working on the new order, not helping his employee with my order now going on 15 minutes late. Then the owner delivers a third sandwich, to go, to the table of 2, still not helping his employee with my prior order. Next, the owner finishes working on the bagle order, hands it to the fellow, and out he walks with his order, made after I had arrived to pick up mine. In the meantime, my order is still not completed, and he's not helping his poor employee who knows the order is 25 minutes late and is feeling stress.Like I said, great sandwiches, terrible decision making by the owner/manager (not sure which) to work on other orders that came in after mine, and deliver those orders, while I'm standing around for 15 minutes, 25 minutes after the promised pickup time, wondering if I now have time to deliver the sandwiches and get to downtown Santa Barbara by noon..

My favorite sandwich hands down! I usually get a smoked turkey sandwich, but they have a lot of great options. I've been through many o' sandwich doors, and this one is the best I've walked through. I also really enjoy their brand coffee :)

I regularly stop by Montecito Gourmet for sandwiches on the way to wine country. I love the passion with which the owner serves his customers. He clearly is very proud of the ingredients he serves and shows that confidence by sharing samples of his meats and cheese to new customers. Well, we were sold on that as new customers and have been coming back since. The place does not skimp on sandwich ingredients, which is a critical thing because you want to make sure all that meat and cheese and bread can soak up the massive amount of wine you're about to subject your system too. We will keep stopping by!

Just went to this place for the 2nd time in a week. Food is really good. Service is excellent. Warm and friendly staff. Ambiance is also warm and inviting. I would highly recommend Pat's. When you go I hope you get to meet her. She is quite exceptional. Gary too, as well as the rest of the staff.

The food, coffee and wine are great and Montecito Gourmet helps support the local community, I highly recommend.Check out the thank you love from Fire Departments, first responders and the community to the Montecito Gourmet in the back of the shop.

Patrick was absolutely incredible, and the food and coffee were above and beyond. In addition to that, the place itself has the most inspiring story - highly recommended to come and hear the story, enioy the fresh coffee, and last but not least - unparalleled sandwiches (with mind boggling selection of cheese and meats).

Great place! The party platter we ordered was filled with delicious cheeses, meats, olives, fruits etc and we enjoyed every bite! The owner was fun and gave us some treats to sample while he was putting together the platter. Great place to get a perfect party platter!

Tucked away in the back corner of a modest looking shopping center in Montecito, this place was jammin! Owner Patrick was working alone and kicking a*** I was wondering why the sandwiches were taking longer than I expected, but then I realized that the few single people before us were ordering multiple Sammys. No doubt the take out orders were rolling in too. Patrick still made time to chat with customers and hand out free samples of delicious charcuterie. While we were eating outside, he kept bringing us more samples. The meats and cheeses and bread were of the highest quality and my "Italian style" sub on a heavenly soft French roll was the best I've ever had. This coming from a private chef/food fanatic. Charming side note: this place has been here since 1973 and was handed down from father to son. From what I've read, Patrick's father John was beloved in the community. Well known to Montecito locals but new to this Venturan, I will definitely be back to this hidden gem. Seating is limited but there's a pretty, grassy area in the shopping center that would make for a lovely picnic. Keep up the good work and good works Patrick, of charity and community involvement.

I drove up to Montecito from Woodland Hills (an hour drive) to visit friends. I thought I'd surprise them with amazing sandwiches from Montecito Gourmet. I drove into the parking lot to find the "Closed" sign on the window. My heart sank! I saw the owner, Patrick, at the door. When I told him where I came from, he insisted on opening the store for me! Unreal! I so appreciated that. I got my sandwiches and was soon on my way. Patrick made my day! Thank you, Patrick, for your hospitality!!

This place is phenomenal. What a hidden gem. Fresh sliced meats and cheese to order when you get a sandwich. Proper portions and never too much lettuce like the larger chains. I go here every time can when I work in montecito.
