I’ve been going to this place for years after reading about Nigerian food. I’ve been to different Nigerian restaurants across the state of California since going to Nigeria Breeze, and none of them has had food as good or service as friendly as the staff at Nigeria Breeze. Special thanks to Maria for her help during our most recent visit!

Great meal. Ordered via Door Dash on Dec 26th 2024. Order came very fast. Cow Leg Pepper Soup was hot and on point. Plantain and assorted rice with Goat Meat was very good. Very happy with the quality of food.. well done.

This place is excellent. My husband and I came here because we were craving African food! We had egusi, okra, and fufu. The food was delicious! The person who made our experience enjoyable was Yolanda. Her service was top notch and outstanding. She had a pleasant smile and made our here even better. We recommend this place and we are coming back.

I ordered the rice combo with goat drove all the way home just to realize I got no plantains just a bunch of rice and a little bit of meat for $30. Rip off! Plus the customer service wasn’t good!

The food is good but the portion size for the price is crazy. Ripped off and disappointed

I’ve been here multiple times now. You aren’t selling to Nigerians only, therefore you need to be considerate to other customers as well. I’m originally African, but I like when meat is tender and cooked through.
1- Cook the meat or all proteins until tender
2- Pay attention to meat/bone ratio (we don’t want more bones than meat on the plate).
3- Portion for everything is not worth the cost. You could do better (have tried almost the entire menu)
4- Add some veggies to the rice plates to balance the meal
5- If an item was ordered, give exactly that. Not what you want, or what you have, or consult the customer first. That’s just rude

Customer service is getting better now, and your food is very flavorful. Keep it up.

The best Nigerian food in Southern California!! Perfectly seasoned, fluffy jollof, tender chicken, and delicious spicy sauce. Love their plantains too! 😋

They serve the best jellof rice I have eaten in a restaurant ever. The food was served hot and fast (less than 10mins wait time). It was responsibly priced as well. 10/10 would visit anytime we are around National City.

Amazing amazing amazing!! I couldn’t find a better Nigerian restaurant in the area and this place delivered. The owner is so sweet, the food is delicious, and they had little goody bags for my kids. I will definitely be back!

Breeze is an exceptional restaurant, delivering the bold and authentic flavors of West Africa with each dish. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and skillfully prepared, capturing the essence of traditional Nigerian cuisine. Their jollof rice, egusi, and suya are particularly noteworthy, offering a taste experience that’s both familiar and exciting for anyone who appreciates quality West African flavors.

One area of improvement would be the dine-in experience. Investing in proper dining ware and cutlery could elevate the overall ambiance, as not everyone prefers to eat from plastic plates when dining in. Creating a more polished dine-in setup would enhance the authenticity and comfort, matching the exceptional quality of the food.

Overall, Nigerian Breeze is an outstanding choice for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Nigeria. With a few refinements to the dining experience, they have the potential to become a top destination for West African cuisine. Highly recommended!”
