Came here for dinner with the boyfriend & pup. It was a chilly night and we were seated on the patio bc the dog was with us, but the heaters kept us perfectly warm (I'm always cold & was concerned about that ). The food is southern comfort, but not so heavy. I had the chicken pot pie. It was creamy but also kind of light, and had plenty of chicken & veggies to fill me up! My partner went with the chicken fried chicken. He ate it all and was very satisfied! Good for brunch or dinner with family, friends & pups :)

Great fries, onion rings are tasty but too greasy in my opinion, Mac n cheese was way too cheesy for my taste as well.

Such a special spot! Really enjoy the staff, food and ambience. How great to have a spot that encourages binging your fur baby!

2nd time visiting the Fat Dog, I took a deep like in the food, drink, services and environment of this gastropub restaurant. Everything was just and always perfect for me. They have the most delicious house made pasta in LA, very creative and attractive daily special cocktail for only $10! Potato skin was outstandingly delicious and I admire the combination of bacon and potato and the greens, every bite was an enjoyment! The mini burger was super cute and tasteful, the house made patty was so juicy and full of flavors, the fragrant of the melting cheese and the just right tenderness of the bun, again, a perfect match! Service was very very good too, we always felt welcomed, well served and token care of! Thank you so much Fat Dog! We will be back again and again and again!

This is a hidden gem in NoHo. Fair prices great food, great daily pasta dishes, great daily cocktails. Nicely themed with dog pics and sculpture. Casual and fun but still very nice, without being stuffy! There is no parking but plenty of street parking. Lastly the Oreo Sunday is great !!!

I love the fat dog a lot! I think the space inside is super cute, the food is good, and the bartenders are INCREDIBLE! If you ever want a great cocktail and you're adventurous, always go with the daily drink! The bartenders are so creative and it's exciting to see what they've come up with for the day. My only thing keeping me from giving more stars is that it's not good when delivered. I completely understand that food is never going to be as great as when it's fresh, but the quality change from in-person to delivery is so extreme that I think they just don't care as much about online orders. I've been so disappointed and I'm hoping this review might make them think about how they use delivery apps/if it's worth it for them! I've been over ten times since moving here- it's a neighborhood spot and I love it! I've tried almost everything on the menu multiple times. But every time I've ordered online (5 times now- I like to give people a chance because I'm in food service and I get it) the food is missing things you get in person, the chicken isn't fully cooked (pink), or the serving size couldn't be more different. I only live a five minute drive away and it's always delivered super fast so the lack of freshness almost feels like I was served a leftover/extra meal from hours ago because no way can food get that un-fresh in a 5 minute drive when the driver is there waiting for the food to be ready. I hate leaving a three star review, and I really love this place, but I hope they rethink delivery because the food I've been served through secondary apps has been undercooked and inedible a few times now :/

Had a work pow-wow here this past Wednesday night. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu, but the standout to me were the Swedish meatballs, cauliflower, and the tomato soup with grilled cheese. The only drawback of this place is that it's on the main stretch of Magnolia, which means there's hardly any parking. I'd suggest taking an Uber/Lyft to forego any aggravation of trying to find a place to park.

Vegan review: The Fat Dog is an American style pub restaurant. I overall had a great experience here. The food and ambiance were great. There are a few vegan (vg) and vegetarian (v) options marked on the menu as well as other items that are vegan but not marked as such on the menu like fries. While ordering, our server, who was vegetarian, told me the alternative burger bun is NOT vegan and offered to have it lettuce wrapped instead. She assured me the aioli used vegan mayonnaise. This was a bit disappointing since having clearly marked vegan items on their menu is what attracted me to trying this restaurant over another. I'm not sure if this is a result of temporary supply issue or if this something permanent. Be sure to ask your server when ordering if you are vegan! The burger itself was really good. The patty was thick, flavorful, and not crumbly as some veggie patties tend to be. They did not skimp on the avocado or veggies! They brought us extra cups with ice for our sodas, which was appreciated. The sweet potato fries were served with ketchup and ranch, so you may ask to swap out the dip for a vegan dip. I dipped mine in the vegan ailoi that came with my burger and that was great. The servers came to check in on us a few times. On another note, the theming is consistent and very fun throughout the restaurant! Dishes were served with dog food wrappers, the tables had subtle dog branding, and the dog wallpaper was especially cute! There's indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend outdoor seating in the evening. There's lots of twinkle lights and it's just a really nice ambiance. Restrooms are single stall & gender neutral in the back.

Good service, amazingly delicious food (try the street corn!), but I wish we had chosen to sit outside; it was pretty loud inside while we were there.

Fantastic bar food and draught beer list. Everything we tried has been delicious. Highly recommend the buffalo wings, the fish and chips, and the biscuits. Tap list is extensive and they offer flights! The outdoor space is expansive and dog-friendly. Easy to bring young children in the outdoor space. Would be a cool place to catch a game, with multiple screens inside at the bar.

I am doing all my reviews with no more than 5 Pros and 5 Cons. All reviews are honest and well-researched. Note: We went here for New Year's Eve since we just arrived at night from the East Coast. My son and his girlfriend highly recommended this place. **Design: Fun pub style with a large patio and heat lamps for comfortable dining. **Food: The menu is very eclectic. Some of the combination of tastes I have not experienced in a pub. **Dishes to try: Grilled Street Corn, Potato Skins(w/Brie!), Chicken Pot Pie, Steak Frites(so tender!), Baked Jalapeno Mac and Cheese(unique), Fried Cauliflower(perfect and Vegan). **Service: It was attentive and he did a great job describing some of the dishes that were different than the typical pub fare. Refills on drinks were very fast. Cons: N/A

What an excellent find on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The chicken pot pie did not have the typical crust. Rather, puff pastry pieces sat on top of steaming, comforting classic chicken filling. The special was freshly made fettuccine with short rib. AMAZING!!

The best place to have brunch with your fur baby! The food is fresh and delicious, and they have a doggy menu. Sunny Davis our dog had a lip smacking hamburger patty!

For months I've been obsessed with ordering the Brioche Bread Pudding dessert from The Fat Dog via a delivery service (Uber Eats, Postmates, etc.) and it's been great each time. However, this time I felt why not head in and check out the ambiance and the rest of the menu in person? A friend and I went and started off with some cocktails, she ordered the "A Walk In The Park" and I ordered the "Off The Leash" and both were exquisite because they weren't heavy and paired well with the food. Then for food we had some mini burgers, wings, potato wedges, and of course topped it off with the bread pudding - it was 10x better fresh out the kitchen and I never thought that would be possible. I loved the indoor/outdoor setup of the venue and it's not too far from home so I'll surely be back because I saw they have a short rib French dip that I'm anxious to try!
