Its a Russian roulette depending on who made your food really but 1) it's students making food 2) they hand a you small plate of usually good food for a reasonable price 3) it's better than most of the food options on canvas. I've had the whitefish (to die for) caprese sandwich (yummy) and most recently the steak (would not reccomend) in all pretty decent I would say.

Great food! I wish they were open longer sometimes they close early. I tried the fish with roasted almonds and it was so good. Very light and flavorful. It a good dish Im excited to try their pork next time.

The food here got presented like a fancy restaurant. I studied in this institution for two years and came here at least 3 times a week. They had different menu every day and the food was cooked by the students. One of my favorite items was almond fish. It was only $7 or a big fancy plate. They also gave me different sweets every time I checked in on yelp. Some of the sweet items they had were cheesecake, cream-puffs, cookies,.. They were not expensive al all, $1 or so for each box. This culinary made me want to go to school everyday.

Ordered their "Classic Steak and Chorizo" meal and had to complain three times. The first time being that the meat was basically raw and I asked for it to be recooked. It was recooked and still raw so I had to complain once again and they gave me a whole new steak which was not that much better and better yet the meal given back to me had less of the sides and was missing the chorizo. I went back the third time to ask for my chorizo and was not apologized too after having to come back over and over. This was way to many mistakes, even for amateurs who should be learning to effectively deal with complaints and customers.

I love the potato chips in here and don't get me started on the pasta salad. I like how there is a vegetarian option here because it gets boring eating veggie subs. 10/10 I love it here

Had the club sandwich and I have to say the best club sandwich I have ever had, I wish you guys could sell it all semester I would buy it everyday.

I ordered the vegetarian black bean sandwich ($6.50), a side of pasta salad, and an iced coffee (2.50). The price was very reasonable, which was about $10.50 in total. I liked how the sandwich contained a lot of ingredients, which filled me up pretty quickly. The pasta salad was seasoned very well with lemon, cucumber, etc. I would definitely come back again.

The students are lovely and helpful. But quick tip, the soups have too much salt - all of them. The Chinese salad is the best though

Both the Falcon Room restaurant and the Falcon Cafe are winners for me. Delicious food at great prices. I would be lost without the culinary arts student chefs on campus.

This review is specifically for the Falcon Room Restaurant which is run by the Cerritos College Culinary Arts students. It probably should have its own listing but as other reviews for it seem to be here already (and because I'm too lazy to create a new listing) I'm leaving my review here. The restaurant is small, perhaps a dozen tables, and is difficult to find. It is hidden down a hall and around the corner from the student cafe. It's behind what looks like just another classroom door. They have designated parking right near the restaurant and provide a parking pass to put on your dashboard so you don't have to pay for student parking. Chefs and servers are students supervised by instructors. The menu changes periodically and they also have special theme meals from time to time which you can be informed of by providing your email. Although I'm not certain, I think it was my server's first time ever attending to someone. She was a little unsure of herself but very sweet and went back to the kitchen to get answers to questions when she didn't know. I gave her my order and sat back to see what would come out to the table. I was first given a complimentary bruschetta with eggplant which was an excellent little appetizer. I then had some potato leek soup which was thick and delicious; a perfect starter on a cold day. Next came my main meal - a bento box with pork katsu. As one would expect, as this meal was prepared by students, there were hits and misses. The pork was cooked well but the coating wasn't quite what I've come to expect (too oily, no crunch - I don't think they used Panko - and over salted). The tempura vegetables were superb. The salad had a bit much dressing on it but I personally like it that way. Dessert was an incredible rich chocolate cake with raspberry filling. The cake itself was worth the price I paid for the entire meal. Prices are insanely cheap and portions are plentiful. The perfection of the food on your plate will vary depending on what students are cooking that day. If you are a risk taker and want to have some fun, this is a great little student restaurant to enjoy some tasty food and give future chefs some experience.

Came here today with a group of coworkers to try their monthly 5-course menu special. The student chefs did an amazing job. I was absolutely blown away by the impressive presentation of dishes, quality of food as well as variety of dishes that were served to us. All the students were very professional and the food was impeccable. I heard it's only a invite-only event and it costs $15 per person for five amazing dishes. Would definitely recommend taking advantage of this event if you get the chance.
