Wonderful business and service and best Ethiopian food yet in Bay Area, and I’ve tried homemade ones that never reach this level of savory! The honey wine is delicious. Favorite restaurant
My first time to try Ethiopian food. I feel surprised food is delicious! Traditional coffee with popcorn for dessert are interesting! Coffee has the special aroma
I have yet to enjoy the food but if the customer service is any indication of their pride in their product I'm sure it's fantastic
Yummy with clean restroom!Combo platter.
Wow. Really good. I had never tried Ethiopian food. This was amazing. Most often, the bad thing with spicy food is the overpowering heat with a lack of flavor. This is the opposite. It has a ton of flavor and spices with just the right amount of heat.Having the Injeera as the utensil is messy, but delicious and totally worth it.Left feeling fat and happy.
Yes! They are still amazing! We got the combo and it was as delicious as ever. I forgot about my posts from 8+ years ago... next time I'll get the shiro wat and chicken tibs!
It was Sunday night, we were in Berkeley and wanted Ethiopian food so we made our way to Telegraph. The restaurant wasn't packed and upon entering the waitress asked us to pick a seat. As soon as we were seated she brought us water and menus. Took a min to decide what to get, but we settled on the ADDIS COMBO which serves 2 and a side of Kitfo. I anticipated the food being delish because we could smell the aroma from the streets as we parked. Took about 15- 20 mins for the food to arrive. You should have seen our faces as soon as the waitress placed the tray on our table. I quickly snapped a few pics and vids then tore a piece of the injera and used it to scoop up some of the lentils. My oh my!!! Sooo flavorful, rich and comforting. Reminded me of something my mother would cook on a special occasion. Reminded me of home. I legit get a sense of warmth thinking about it. My idea of soul food. SOOOO GOOD
Great vegan plattter with gluten free injera eating on the patio.
Came here in the recommendation of an old friend. Small place and not fancy. Everyone loved the food, which was great, as no one else has ever eaten Ethiopian before. The portions are huge! The vegetarian sampler was enough for two people. None of us were able to finish our plates. Some is spicy, but not overly so. Wish this was near me. I would be there often!
Had a great dinner at Addis tonight. We had the vegan platter with gluten free injera. The outside seating area has lots of tables and was comfortable. The food was amazing, just like the last time we had it when we were visiting Berkeley.
Authentic Ethiopian food. They have traditional coffee ceremonies which one must try. I had the fish goulash and veggie combo. Yum

Glad Shayla B. introduced us to this Ethiopian restaurant, been wanting to try Ethiopian fare in the East Bay. I used to frequent Rassela's (closed) in SF's Fillmore district, fond memories...many date nights there with live music & dancing. There's plenty of street parking here, and the outdoor seating is a nice touch these days. Wear layers as the sun sets, it can get chilly. Get the combo platter with meat + veggie + shrimp. Something for everyone, can't go wrong. The colorful and spicy platter will have you stuffed with leftovers for later. Although, the injera became soggy when I came home. Service was okay. The honey wine is divine, that's what I really wanted to try. It paired really well with our food; eat with your hands. Next time, I want to try Ethiopian coffee, I hear it's a must! 'Til we meet again ~ cheers & see you on Yelp (SYOY)! #supportblackbusinesses
This place i would consider upscale and fancy. Compared to the other Ethiopian restaurants I've been too. I ordered my food to go. They plate their food separately from the injera. Which wasn't a problem. The food was good.
Terrible service. There was only one other table when i got there and two servers, neither seemed at all interested in our table. I had to get up and walk over to the counter to get our water refilled and later walk up and stand at the register to request someone bring our check. This was an issue for me due to an obvious mobility issue that made standing difficult and painful. We were not checked on once. I tried to get the server's attention and she just sat at the counter and ignored me. Food was ok but I won't be back.
