Fantastic cupcakes run by people with great values. My friend recently did a special order for a party and each cupcake was beautifully decorated and absolutely delectable. We got an assortment of flavors and they were all yummy!Parking: There's no lot, but street parking is pretty easy to find. You may have to walk a bit

Unfortunately I have to rate this establishment on how my husband felt and was profiled. He came in 12/28 at around 2:15PM and whoever at the front that was helping was rude and acted like he was going to do something to her. My advice is, being in an urban neighborhood train your employees to be accepting of all types of guest and leave the miro aggression at home. I told him I wouldn’t have even bought a cupcake as soon as I felt I was being discriminated against. Being from Oakland and seeing how much it has changed it’s appalling. Especially with dealing with establishments like this. My husband is an elite Yelper and I’ve encouraged him to share his experience as this was unacceptable.

I've had their cupcakes once before and they were good. They are a local business and I wanted to support them, but it's simply too much hassle. I called one Friday to ask about the cupcakes they would have that day, flavors change daily and I wanted to sample some before deciding on my custom cake, and they told me they were not opening that day because they had too many orders to fulfill. The days and times they are open are very limited, so I eventually gave up on the idea of trying the cupcakes before ordering and finally emailed them to inquire about my decorations options. I emailed them to the email address listed on their website. It did say they're busy and it could take a couple of days for them to get back to me. But after 3 days and no response I decided to call. According to Google Maps, they were open that day and time but nobody answered, so I left a voicemail. After an email and a voicemail, still nobody reached back. Two days later I call again and they tell me nobody saw my email 'cause I sent it to the wrong address WHICH IS LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE. I express that my inquiry is now somewhat urgent considering that I wasted almost a whole week waiting for a custom order inquiry to be answered. They ask me to send the email again to a different address and they'll get back to me asap. Well, that was two days ago. Their cupcakes were good that one time that I tried them but I emailed three other businesses in the area with great reviews and they all responded in less than an hour. It's not rocket science who'll get my business.
I absolutely love this local bakery and have been getting cupcakes here for the last three years. They come in such fun flavors, and there is something new every day. If you need to bring something sweet to an event or just want a cupcake for after work, this place is the spot!

Our regular online bakery went out of business so I called 7 others in the Oakland area. The first 6 said "leave a message or email us" but after 2 days none of them had bothered to respond in any way. The seventh (Angel Cakes) answered their phone immediately and the very friendly lady patiently answered all of my questions. She again answered immediately when I called back later with more questions. I placed my order and it was delivered within an hour. The cupcakes were superb in taste and artistry. I have found my new regular bakery.

Always a winner! Makes a surprise treat for the family and an easy, fun choice for a social gathering!We have our favorites but there is always something new to try. Make it a monthly or weekly stop in. The kid loves the red velvet and mom enjoys the passion fruit/Meyer lemon, dad...anything chocolate!
