I been here several times for the chicken sandwich or salad when "I'm watching" it ? . The slaw served with chicken is unique. Not cream based but some type of vinegar dressing. The desert menu is growing. This is what's left of my banana cream pie. It was light and fresh. Nice thick crust like graham crackers really supports the banana and custard. Banana wasn't too thick and had a nice chocolate shaving on top. Line outside moves quick.

Came strictly for a chicken pot pie because I was craving one. When I say this was the best pot pie I’ve ever had! Omg it was delicious! It is very pricey but it honestly may be worth the price and the individual pies are tiny. Will be coming back again this

Review as of 2/23/24-Caramel Banana Bread Pudding: out of this world good. One of the best bread puddings I have had. Not too sweet. 8.5/10-Chocolate Chip Shortbread: not too sweet, a good sized cookie and a good shortbread crumble. 8/10- Butter Pecan Shortbread: buttery Goodness, a great cookie! Not sweet and a nice sized cookie. 9/10-Apple Pie: not to fond of apple pie to begin with but I didn’t use that as a guide. The pie is ok. Crust is good but filling is just ok. May be pairs better warm with some ice cream. 7/10Parking: Parking in this area is never easy but not impossibleKid-friendliness: Yes Cookies are very goodWheelchair accessibility: Accessible by all, pretty much an outdoor setup.
I've been coming here for years whenever I can. I go for the chicken salad and only had the sandwich once. There seems to be a bimodal distribution of reviews and I guess in the '5s' group. The coleslaw (described negatively by one as "bitter" while I'd call it "tangy") is the best I've had anywhere as is the strawberry shortcake (when it's in season). The latter wasn't in season today and I had the bread pudding /w caramel sauce .... Delicious. Nice crowd.

The chicken was delicious. Usually, I find fried chicken sandwich very salty and sometimes dry. This sandwich was neither and had a wonderful crunch. I ordered the coleslaw on the side because I took my order home. The coleslaw had thinly sliced jalapeños in it, and I was worried it could be to hot but it absolutely was not. One of the people who also had a sandwich cannot handle spicy but loved the coleslaw too. We ordered a dozen cookies and three sandwiches or total was $74.97. The sandwiches are definitely able to be shared between two people we found.Parking: It's the city and parking is hit or miss. The orders come out really fast so it might be ok to park across the street at other store parking lots and walk over.
Last day before my homie depart cali and move back to Mexico. He said his last day he want a chicken sando that he can’t get in Mexico. I being an Oakland native have always wanted to try this spot. They do not disappointed. The chicken sando is huge, the slaw in it was crispy and refreshing, definitely not drenched in mayo. They don’t do spicy chicken sandwich but they’re willing to add more jalapeños, so of course being a spice fanatic I ask for extra. Line wasn’t a bad wait.
I went last week and today but both times closed. Google says they are open both times. They are so

I always see a line at the place and wanted to check it out. I got the chicken sandwich and the bread pudding. I would not recommend if you are looking for flavorful food. The chicken sandwich has a lot of slaw in it and is the most tasteless chicken I have had in a while. The bread pudding wasn't tasty. The caramel drizzle was tasty. Maybe they added so much caramel to compensate for the taste. I should have read the reviews before going.

Salad was old with mold, terrible serviceWouldn't step their ever again!!Got such stomach pain. This place should be under health services
Largely overrated! The sandwich is no more than meh… and the cookies are nothing special. The service is just basic at best. The hype is unexplainable, and the line is not worth it.

I almost cried of joy after eating the bread pudding. It's actually one of the best things I've ever eaten and I'm not exaggerating! The sauce and there was whipped cream. I literally drove 10-miles to eat this again. Go visit early and enjoy them hot! There is not seating it's a pickup and go service.

Great food! Nice service! Not a restaurant no sitting just pick up and go. I would go back the strawberry cohort ale was good.

I don't know Betty but she gets the job done. I had the strawberry shortcake and a chocolate walnut cookie. I was left wanting more with the cookie but the shortcake did the trick. I grew up on some strawberry shortcake so it really takes me back. They don't skimp you on the strawberry's. The whip cream was so good I needed I think 2 or 24 dollops more of it. I guess they are known for the fried chicken sandwich. I didn't get it but I will come back for it. Betty has me intrigued. She talks my language. (4.1 Stars)

Happened to be in the area and realized I've heard of this place before and had been meaning to try! This is a "pop up" vibe where they use posters plastered on walls to indicate the menu- one poster = one menu item; one for the "open" sign etc. it's quite interesting! You'd think as a result this is a new temporary place but no. It's actually been around for 4+ years. We tried their chicken sandwich because we're told that it is popular but tbh, I felt like it was lacking some oomf. On the other hand, we also tried one of their pie slices and that was delish. Makes me want to have more pie hehe.Next time, we're going to try their strawberry shortcake bc i'm told that is yum too! But maybe will skip the savory things moving forward (although it was a great deal!!)
