RIP Dopo, a true and literal Mom & Pop. As close as one can get to 'real' Italian (Sicilian) food one can get without being in Italy; maintaining the ethos of predominantly locally sourced, seasonal ingredient driven dishes--the backbone of Italian Cuisine. No no no. I'm going to cry. This was my most favorite restaurant. Went back in March 2020 and it was wonderful like it used to be. I thought Dopo was better than many restaurants in NYC. I'm so sad. Does anyone know if Dopo will reopen?

I was heartbroken when I found out Dopo is closing. I have wonderful memories of great food, great wine, great service and great company here. I can't imagine life without a Dopo pizza, Little Gem salad, and glass of red wine. You will not be forgotten.
