Wow! What an incredible experience it was to go to Fentons Creamery for dessert! Ww could have had burgers and other diner-foods but we focused on their HUGE selection of ice cream varieties as well as combinations of flavors. While we shared three huge scoops of wonderful homemade ice creams, our friend ordered a scoop of chocolate ice cream served with hot fudge! Going to Fentons is a treat for kids of all ages! They also sell delicious ice cream cakes!

Definitely not worth the price. Seating is terrible unless you get a booth; the tables are small and chairs very uncomfortable. Food all seems pre-cooked. Burgers had grill marks but were dry and barely warm. Roast beef sandwich came with three thin slices of meat. Pretty average quality when each burger/sandwich costs around $20. Would expect it be freshly made at least. Ice cream was good but $20 for two scoops and toppings is pretty insane. 3% credit card charge is ridiculous as well. Given the vast majority pay card now, just factor it into your prices. Feels like a cheap charge to add. It is called out on the menu, but most people find the food that they want and stop reading. It's not a book. Overall, will not be back. Didn't leave unhappy, but it's not worth it. Too many options to go somewhere that feels like it's ripping you off.

We are 80 years young and 2nd generation customers of Fentons and 3rd generation Alamedan' s We had another wonderful experience on Tuesday April 2nd. Only this time we were served by Derik who was very friendly, upbeat, conversive and attentive. The crab sandwich and the French dip were, as usual, excellent. Naturally our meal is not complete without a black & tan sunday and a banana split jr. To our surprise Derik brought the bill and had given us the Senior discount and that is the first time we have received the discount in all the senior years we have been coming Oakland and also at your Vacaville store on away home from Bend, Oregon to visit our children, grandchildren and grand dogs. The discount was very much appreciated and it was obviously Derik who took the initiative to grant us the discount. Obviously we frequent Fentons as often as we can considering our waistline. Thank You Derik and the entire staff for making our dining experience wonderful. Bob & Chris Blanchard

This is an iconic, authentic ice cream parlor that gets busy even on weekdays, with lines out the door. There are two separate lines, one for buying ice cream directly and one for being seated to order. I recommend sitting down for the full experience. The sundaes are delicious and service is fast. However, if you don't eat dairy, they unfortunately don't have great dairy-free options, just sherbets. This is a nice ice cream parlor to go to for families or with a big group.

Forget about history and Up movie, this is a great restaurant! We have lots of fun. Love the big bowl of ice cream. Burgers are good too. And nothing to complain about the service that's nice and welcoming!

Fenton's is iconic and just around the corner from where I grew up. They have been through and fire many years ago and were able to bounce back thankfully. Our daughter picked up a mint cookie chocolate ice cream cake and it was very good. The amount of ice cream to cake ratio is insane. It was more than a half gallon rectangular tub! My only suggestion to Fenton's is for better decorating. Instead of writing Happy Birthday with icing, they use a flat plastic decorated pick which makes the cake look cheap. Fenton's will always be a family favorite and I encourage everyone to support this local business. Do have street smarts and don't leave stuff visible in your car. It's unfortunate.

Great creamery with fantastic ice cream but it doesn't live up to the hype. We waited in a line out the door and we're expecting exceptional ice cream but it was pretty standard compared to most ice cream parlors. They had a huge variety of sundaes, floats, pies, etc as well as savory food. If you're looking for an experience with good ambience and picture worthy dishes, this is the place to go. If you're looking for a solid scoop of ice cream, I suggest skipping the long line and going elsewhere. Also wish they would have more dairy free/vegan options other than the sherbets.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I entered with hopes of a good time and good dessert. No one was at the counter or hostess station but this one kid was at the register on his phone. We ordered and sat down. However, a lady comes up and asks if we are eating in or taking out. We told her “yes we are eating in.” After waiting at the table for 20 minutes for our heated pie, we got all of our food. We couldn’t even eat because we didn’t have a spoon. When we finally got someone’s attention, we asked for two spoons for the TWO of us. Nope instead we got one single plastic spoon for two people with ice cream and a slice of pie. We started eating and were immediately told to leave. Why? Because of the bad service. We were never asked if we wanted to sit down or take out, then we were told to leave, and now we are sitting in the car, thinking about how we will never come back.

You are lucky to find parking in their lot. But street parking is also available. The restaurant is a cute place to bring your date, friends and family to either eat all american food or sit for a sweet dessert. The service was great and fast. Our server was attentive to bring water and any additional request we had. As a plus size girl I definitely would opt to sit in the tables with chairs not the booths. The chairs are confortable a bit slippery but definitely confortable i would definitely bring my folks to enjoy some ice cream they have a huge variety and have sharable sizes or just for you if you wish.
