Stopped in and got a slice. The price was high. Customer service was ok fine but you order at a counter so whatever. But the slice, the slice was not good. The crust was burnt on top and still limp and chewy. Cheese barely melted and pulled off leaving the exposed crust naked and without topping. Sauce was thin and lackluster. Idc how many fresh ingredients you use and how much you make by hand etc etc etc, If that slice does not hit right, it doesn’t matter.

5 stars for a down right good pizza experience. The most New York kinda slice I’ve had in the Bay Area. Of course nicks is its own, authentic kind a pie, but the thin crust and slightly oozy cheese rolling off just makes me think of East coast vibes. But luckily, everything else, including the wonderful staff are definitely indicative of the Best Coast.

Just out looking at things with my pal Slipshot Charlie with a couple of lil busters on our hip, we while on our way to the Volkinstrommer Institute where Ol Slingshot is giving his prized Gloudinwopper for permanent display. We were about half way up Shattuck when we spotted Nick's Pizza and Bakery, and thought It'd be a good idea to have lunch....it was. The pizza was amazing. ☆☆☆☆☆
