This place is great. Dine-in is quick, but we’ve been doing takeout for most of the pandemic. Their food is AWESOME for takeout, and you can tell they take their time to make the food *look* good as well (no smushed sushi or stuff just thrown into a container.) 10/10

This is my favorite sushi restaurant, and the service is absolutely the best! Chima! She's the best! My go-to sushi roll is Julie's Favorite roll. The combination of exceptional service and delicious food makes this place a top choice for me!!

Had an odd receipt encounter with the staff. We pointed out an incorrect charge (much less than our bill) because we understand for small businesses, this is a large impact. However, the staff simply ran off with the credit card transaction, voided the incorrect amount and rang us up with the correct total. Nothing 'wrong' in this transaction. It just didn't give us warm feelings. Otherwise the food has been consistent.

Cute place, great back patio. Decent service but go for the food. High quality and very reasonably priced.

I celebrated my 24th birthday at RnR Sushi & Bowls, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! Let's dive into the details.First off, the sushi here is hands down the freshest I've ever had in the Bay Area. I couldn't believe how incredible the quality of the fish was. They are incredibly generous with their sushi pieces, which is always a delightful surprise. Now, the only hiccup in our adventure was the parking situation. We parked across the street, and there was a sign on the meter that read "HIGH RISK THEFT AREA." While that wasn't the best start, our sushi cravings kept us going. As we strolled by the nearby shops, the area seemed vibrant and inviting. Once we entered RnR Sushi & Bowls, the service was nothing short of amazing. Attentive and friendly staff made us feel right at home. Now, onto the stars of the show - the sushi rolls. We ordered the Ichiban roll, the Warriors roll, the Oh Yes roll, and the Elvis roll. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly, and we were absolutely stunned by the freshness of the fish and the sheer amount of fish they included in each roll. It's no wonder this place is so highly rated! The only downside was the presence of quite a few little bugs flying around. We had to do some swatting throughout our meal, which was a bit distracting. However, the exceptional sushi more than made up for this minor inconvenience. In summary, if you want to impress anyone, take them to RnR Sushi & Bowls. The sushi here is the bomb, with top-notch freshness and generous portions. Despite the minor bug issue, the overall experience, including the great service, makes this place a must-visit. I'll definitely be returning for more sushi goodness!

So good! Dog friendly, great staff, amazing dishes. The katsu curry bowl is pricey but super flavorful, huge portions, and definitely worth it. Jalapeño deep fried roll is also incredibly savory and has great texture. I don't even like sushi and ended up eating the dragon roll as well.

We have come here several times and love their quality friendly service and consistently solid food. All of the rolls have the perfect blend of sauce and fresh sashimi. Their bowls are also quite large with so much meat! We're definitely making this part of our regular rotation!

RnR Sushi & Bowls is a nice Japanese restaurant to visit if you're in the Oakland area. The fish was fresh, the service was friendly, and prices are reasonable. The sushi was attractively presented and there were a large variety of rolls to choose from ranging from rolls you'd find at most sushi restaurants (such as Cherry Blossom) to rolls unique to the restaurant. You'll find all the usual fish you'd see at most restaurants such as tuna, salmon, and hamachi - if you're looking for something like escolar, scallops, or amaebi, I don't think it's on the menu. Push comes to shove, you could always ask, you never know. As for the cooked food, the tempura is pretty good. It's lightly, crispy, and I like how the batter is not thick. The restaurant is fairly narrow, so you may find yourself sitting quite close to another table. There is also outdoor seating on a back patio if you don't feel comfortable dining indoors. As for the service, it's friendly, although not super fast. They do give every table a carafe of water, so you won't need to hassle anyone for refills often. Overall, it's a decent restaurant to stop by if in the area.

Haven't been here for several months and sad to discover last night that Kevin & Julie are no longer the owners. Felt a different vibe as soon as I walked in. We have been long time customers since their Rock N Roll Sushi restaurant in San Leandro. Sushi is still fresh but won't be the same.

I like this restaurant, it has really fresh food and so many choices. The choices meet the whole family's needs. Definitely return. The roadside parking is cheap, and is free after 6PM. Surround businesses didn’t see the iron fence, means the nearby is relatively safe.

Went to R&R with my girlfriend earlier this evening. Service was extremely slow, waited 10-15 minutes just to get water. Another 45 minute wait after we ordered food. Sashimi is imitation fish. Not real. Horrible sushi, soggy, too much sauce, overpriced. Trust me, skip this one.

Went with a group of friends after work. Huge sushi fan! After eating there I never want to eat sushi again. Service is horrendous, food quality is questionable, and the sashimi is definitely not real. Immigration for sure!
