A neat vegan Japanese eatery spot inside a cute tap house @crookedcitycider! We had been wanting spam musubi for awhile and was extra excited to find that they have @omnifoods.global vegan spam musubis. Everything was so delicious and creative, it's definitely not some sad vegan cucumber rolls! We especially like the spicy watermelon "tuna" roll (it's on the hotter side, but of course we like our spicy ). Ordered 3 rolls. All were amazing. Dozens of craft beers and ciders. Couple of old school games for the wait with old school 25¢ cost and tons of pinball. Really cool and the vegan rolls were flat out incredible. Large rolls for the cost as well. It has a very local vibe for the proximity to jack london. Glad sourly vegan was closed today so I could give it a shot!

12/22/2021I'm not a vegan but, really enjoy non-meat options. Having tried many of the vegan /vegetarian options in Sf and Oakland I really like what they are doing with their fish substitutes. It is said you taste first with your eyes not only is it visually appealing, their sushi tastes amazing not your average vegan sushi
