Like other reviewers, we found this place unexpectedly - after an Oakland A’s baseball game, in our case. What a gem. The owner/chef is delightful, offering all standard Mexican options with no set menu. The food was fantastic. My husband’s shrimp burrito was chock full of shrimp. I’m vegan and had 2 (large!) yummy pinto bean tacos. A little Spanish will go a long way, though the owner understood most of what we said. Our meals averaged $12/person. I highly recommend and will come here again when in the area.Dietary restrictions: The Pinto beans are vegan.

Two friends and I stopped by here on a Sunday night for a casual birthday dinner. We asked to see a menu and there was none -- the server said just ask me what you want and if I have it I'll make it. He had birria that night (no pork) so I went with birria enchiladas. One friend had tacos and the other seafood soup. The food was EXCELLENT! The fresh warm tortillas nicely accompanied the soup. Prices were reasonable. It being Sunday night parking was relatively easy right on International. If you're in the neighborhood and are hungry it's a great spot; if you're not in the neighborhood but want to try some really homemade Mexican this is also a good answer! I'll be there again soon.

Came by for a quick to-go meal - Señor made the enchiladas, arroz, y frijoles on the spot! Super yummy!

The food is really good and my favorite is the pollo asado. He makes it into chicken fajitas as well. This is the place to come and hand out and eat. The owner is such a sweet guy and always has a smile on his face. Great customer service every time. I love ordering for all my large events. I highly recommend eating here

Everything here seems to be done right. Everything is made fresh to order, nothing sits out. Tortilla chips, freshly fried upon ordering. Tortillas freshly pressed. Meat quality is great. Service is great too. Favorite taco spot in the

If you like no-frills food, a chill place to eat, please do support this taqueria. We appreciate finding this spot nearby our house. Pedro the owner cooks everything to order, from the meat to even pressing and cooking the tortillas. He mainly serves tacos and quesadillas, some soups. I like the grilled shrimp which comes with cheese and sour cream. My partner and friend really like the carne asada. There's no visual menu so you just talk to Pedro about what you want. He's really sweet and friendly, and keeps a clean kitchen. After you order he'll give you some freshly fried chips with salsa and refried beans. Then you'll see him prep the meats and tortillas. We like how fresh everything tastes, and the tacos are a nice portion. You can add more salt to the meat if you like it more salty, and he's always down to offer more salsa and refried beans. And chips. The tacos are about $3.50/$4 each, which is worth the quality of the food and friendly service. He definitely deserves more business so pls give it a try!!

Food was great! Everything was freshly made and the service was excellent! We ordered two asada tacos and an asada plate. The handmade tortillas were so warm and soft. We will definitely be back.

I ordered two sopes and look how huge they were lol they were so good too! The quesadilla and burrito were good as well according to my family lol. The man at the front was very kind but make sure to bring cash bc I don't think they take card atm. I ordered on the phone and it was quick and easy service. Sopes

Delicious tacos. Ordered 3 pollo asado and 3 carne asada tacos. The tortillas were hand made (I watched the owner press them), the salsa was the perfect level of heat, and the chicken and steak were very flavorful. The tacos were very generously proportioned, each with a single beautiful corn tortilla. The owner was really friendly. He mentioned that his refried beans are vegetarian and made with vegetable oil not pork for those who don't eat pork. We'll be back!

Very very unassuming, authentic Latino spot. No frills so don't go there looking for anything more than great food. There is no menu so be ready to ask the cook (all in Spanish) what you want as he is the real deal and will make what you like on the spot within reason. I asked for 2 pupusas with Bean and cheese came with side of loroco. He asked if I wanted rice and beans on the side and I opted for no rice. I also saw people had ordered chilaquiles and others were eating caldo de Res. My order with a soda was $9 I told him he should raise his rates because it was worth way more than $9 and very fresh! This place is a gem.

What a special "find" we stumbled upon. Chilaquiles and Huevos con nopales was made to perfection. I highly recommend this spot for an authentic Mexican breakfast.

I went to this restaurant for the first time today, can I just say that the tacos and burritos were delish, I will definitely return!! I think this is the first time I have gone to a taqueria style restaurant and the food was made to order. You know how most taquerias have the buckets of food that sit all day on a warmer? This place is not that! The owner cooked the beans, carne asada, and grilled chicken in front of me. It took a bit longer because the ingredients were fresh and made to order but it was worth it! On a side note, this restaurant may not be the most aesthetically pleasing or updated, but the owner made the food with love, and I could feel that energy when I tasted/ate the food! Also, prices are very reasonable! The super burrito is humongous, the fresh corn tortillas were spectacular. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point. There may not be chips or different assortment of meats, guacamole. But the taste.... I wish more restaurants were like this! Ordered 2 super burritos, carne asada and grilled chicken and also asada/chicken tacos!
