It's our first time coming to Shelby as I received a gift card from a dear friend who highly recommended to visit Shelby. The food was sumptuous! The customer service was phenomenal. My family was so delighted after dining at Shelby. We will definitely come back for their specials. We had the the crab cake for appetizer it was perfect! The rib eye, the sole and the brisket they were all menu specials and food for the kids menu. The over all experience was extremely above our expectations. Highly recommended. They deserve some new great reviews!

The Sauerbraten was THE BEST I have EVER eaten, ...and I have eaten here and abroad! Everyone at our table (and there were 5 of us) was very satisfied with their food which is flavorful and prepared with finesse and care. This is a little hidden gem.

I used to live in Orinda and frequently go back to Orinda and meet up with my Orinda friends and always go to Shelby's. The food is great. The staff is great. I'm glad they survived the pandemic. It's a really great restaurant. Food is super fresh.

The food was good. Unfortunately we were charged for two additional entrees that we had not ordered. We did not check the accuracy of the bill and paid without knowing at the time that the charges were incorrect. I caught it later at home, too late. Just be aware and double check your bill before settling up.

The staff was very nice. We all thought the drinks were very weak and had to send them back. The food just blah. We were told the Chinese chicken salad was popular. There was nothing Chinese about it. A bowl of lettuce with some shredded boiled chicken..that's it.
We were very impressed with the service and outstanding food quality. Really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the time we were there was a bit slow, but the restaurant is a definite repeater. Recommend entirely.

Pork Schnitzel wonderful; Greek Salad Lamb fab; Crab cakes great; great crisp fries; short ribs delish; black bean chili very good; salads super fresh...Vegetarian options: They offer gluten free bread and pasta which is Very nice option.
