We stopped in for our first ever visit, without reservations, on a Friday night, during Easter weekend. Fortunately , they were able to seat us, but they were full. If we had arrived any later, they probably would not have been able to see us. The staff was excellent. The clam chowder was not. The clam chowder was flavorless and missing the clams. I had read a similar recent review but was hoping they were being overly critical. They weren’t. My husband had fish and chips, which was excellent. We will try it again, and place different orders and see what we think.

I usually never rate restaurants after a meal however today as I sit here at FISHWIFE I am glad to say we had wonderful waiters who were very generous as well as adverting to preferences. The waiters and staff go out of their way to make conversation with kids. The food, the food! The food here is excellent and tastes beautifully caught and crafted, their seafood is outstanding as well as having impeccable “land food”. Their kids menu was, as far as I could tell, was very satisfactory. Would absolutely recommend to anyone from a first date to a family dinner!Vegetarian options: They have multiple vegetarian options, also clearly labeled, as well as having multiple entrees with the word vegetarian in the name.Dietary restrictions: The menu clearly states which food options are gluten freeKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu as well as crayons for drawing!

Some of the ideas are interesting, but the execution is lacking : for example oysters and mussels had shell pieces. I believe that most of the seafood is frozen and imported from far away, which is always a shame for a restaurant so close to the sea. The staff was very nice though.

Great calamari and clam chowder. Very professional and friendly wait staff. I had the fettuccine combo that was loaded with seafood. Key lime pie was great. The food came quickly so take your time and course it out.
