Granted I live walking distance. Still this place is absolutely amazing. The cocktails are beautiful and balanced. The menu can make it hard to choose, but there is no wrong answer. Everything is completely delicious. I am always ready to a return visit. Oh and I can not forget the fantastic staff. They are on top of it. During this time of short staffed and undertrained people it's so nice to receive amazing service.

Mezzaluna is the best!! Great drinks, delicious food & amazing service!! They were able to squeeze us in for a last minute dinner on the 4th of July - thanks so much Amy! The Hugo, Burrata, Cheese Ravioli & Desserts were all fantastic!! Our server - Iracema (aka Ice Creamy) - was so friendly and accommodating - we'd come back just for her amazing service. You'll see us soon Mezzaluna!

This place is amazing! Great service and every dish was phenomenal. I will be so bold as to say possibly the best fresh and simple Italian food in the Carmel and Monterey area!

Amazing and attentive staff, great drinks, flavorful entrees. Wish we weren't just driving through. Vincent and Juan were accommodating even though we showed up 20 minutes before closing. (Great place to grab a delicious meal while your car is charging next door!). The place is so so so clean. We sat on the couches and they seemed brand new- no stains or rips. We could see into the kitchen and even the light fixtures don't have the usual dust/dead bug accumulation you'd find in the old school long fluorescent light covers. Felt very comfortable eating here. We highly recommend this spot! And hope to be back.

Can't say enough great things about Mezzaluna Pasteria & Mozzarella Bar. If you find yourself in Monterey and are craving quality handmade Italian pastas, make your way down here and grab a table. Make reservations if possible. I got extremely lucky and called in to see if there was any availability left and the staff reserved the last table at the bar for me. Much appreciated! When I say it gets crowded, it's no joke. There is usually a good amount of people waiting outside for tables. This will give you plenty of time to look over the menu and see what you like. For the appetizer, we went with the Polpo All Griglia, which was a grilled Octopus served with Braised Sun-Chokes, Romesco Sauce and Calabrian Peppers. For our mains, we tried the Rigatoni Alla Buttera and the Mastro Ravioli di Granchio. The rigatoni is just tops. I see this is the most popular dish... and for good reason. The ravioli filled with Dungeness crab, mascarpone and sautéed spinach was coated with butter sauce and tasted amazing. If you're a ravioli enthusiast like I am, I would highly recommend. For dessert, the Affogato capped off a delightful meal. The espresso is served with Vanilla gelato, whipped cream, and a crushed amaretto almond cookie that really hits the spot. If you have enough stomach room, this is something you have to try. Definitely looking forward to coming back when I'm back in Monterey!

This place was super busy on a Friday night and I could see why! I was super excited for the fresh made pasta and was able to share a couple. We started out with the soup of the day which was an Asparagus soup. Never would I thought I'd try it, but I was pleasantly surprised! It had a light asparagus flavor and really smooth. It went really well with the pea shoots on top and the black pepper! Onto the main meal - I shared the chicken sausage lasagna which was flavorful, snappy from the sausage and saucy. The lasagna noodle layers were perfectly cooked and each bite had a different texture. I loved how the chicken sausage was extremely flavorful and added a different flavor profile. We also got the rigatoni alla butteria which was decadent, creamy and delicious! The pasta was also perfectly al dente and the fresh peas and pork made the dish even more amazing! Overall will definitely be back to try their other pastas!

We tried this place because of the Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed! We tried the salumi plate, pesto mozzarella, Caesar salad, buccatini, lasagne de pollo, and the ravioli triangolo. Each and every dish was incredible. My favorite was probably the ravioli because the flavors were subtle and delicious! The lasagne was amazing as well! We did have leftovers because the portions are generous. The focaccia bread was fresh and delicious! We will be back here the next time we come to Monterey for sure! Our server was super nice as well. It is in a strip mall, which seems like a strange location for such an amazing restaurant!

If your here it's a must go. Everything everyone had was great(just ordered you can't go wrong). Service was great. Oh save for the gelato it's home made.

Best pasta I've had in a long time! The rigatoni alla buttera was phenomenal and I don't even like pork. The strawberry rhubarb g&t was such a refreshing summer drink

Very disappointing service from the manager/hostess/owner. Made reservations for my father-in-law's 60th birthday dinner for a party of six at 6:30pm. Came from out of town and arrived promptly, minutes before our reservation. There was a party at our designated table and we had to stand outside and wait in the cold. After 15 minutes of standing, my husband inquired with the owner if she was going to ask the party to wrap up, as we had noticed they were ordering additional glasses of wine. Her response was to escort him outside, call his question "arbitrary" and inform us that we can leave. A birthday dinner and we never even were invited inside. Unacceptable! But as I perused other reviews I see this owner has done this before. Wish I would have thoroughly investigated before booking a birthday dinner.

Amazing meal. Don't bring a bottle with you. Their prices are great for wine and their selection is amazing. Also their Pate and toast even though it's not Italian is indescribable..maybe yummy times 10x! Lastly the staff and owner are delightful and very friendly like familia:). Highly recommend!

Though situated in a strip mall, don't pass by this restaurant. The pasta is the star of this restaurant. It is delicate and the accompaniments are delicious and artful. The staff is also friendly and attentive. We are glad to have discovered it!

We had a wonderful meal here tonight! Bartender Vincent took great care of us while we sat at the bar - the absolute BEST spot in the place. And the food was terrific! Unfortunately, the manager/owner, Amy, seems to have had little or no training in "customer care" and made it clear on several occasions that my service dog was causing a problem by not being held firmly under my chair. She made it abundantly clear (her masked face way too close to mine as she spoke) that, if I was not able to comply with her demands, my dog would need to be put in a car. Altho I apologized several times and held tight to my dog thereafter, she ignored me. Meanwhile, two children at a nearby table (from Sacramento) timidly approached us to pat my dear dog and were thrilled at the experience. No doubt it made their family night special. Meanwhile, from my view at the bar, Amy was not particularly encouraging (i.e. nice) to the hard working staff - a shame! And an over-inflated ego! Come on - let's appreciate our patrons and employees. Give up the attitude.

I came in for dinner tonight and asked if they could make me a whiskey sour. Turning out it was the best whiskey sour in town even the best one I have ever had. Their rigatoni was bomb and octopus grill made just to perfect.
