What a wonderful meal. Innovative and really delicious. Nice ambience making the restaurant feel intimate. The server was great also. Attentive without being overbearing. We would absolutely go back to this place.

Our group of three enjoyed the Squid, lightly battered and tasty. The peach dessert with a biscuit and vanilla ice cream was enjoyed by all. Two had Mussels and linguine and were quite disappointed by the bland broth. I had the duck confit which was falling off the bone but quite dry with very little sauce. This was our third time dining here over the years, I doubt we will return.

We've been to Passionfish several times. Biscuits, =A, beet salad = B, shrimp cassoulet = B, scallops = A, banana pudding = A. I ordered a Riesling that the waiter said was dry, but instead was off dry. I'm a tough critique, but I would definitely go back again.

Menu is creative, wine list is really good, food was solid but for some reason our service this time was remarkably slow. We have eaten there multiple times before with great service but for some reason this time our particular table seemed to be invisible. Our main course took an inordinate amount of time. We had other tables arrive 20 minutes after we did and finish 20 minutes before when I finally had to ask for our check (with our table still not cleared). I would also make one suggestion to the menu and that is to add a salad with regular lettuce or even butter lettuce. Just a thought. We'll definitely go back but will keep an eye on the service timing. This should not be a 2 1/2 hr meal.

Each time we are in Pacific Grove we make sure to eat at Passionfish. The food is quite literally perfect. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. We started with the biscuit, an artichoke special and the black bean fritters. All delicious. Scallops, spoonable lamb, beet salad and shrimp dish all a huge hit. Desert was peach cobbler and the banana bread pudding. Also had a delightful local cab with dinner. This place rates in the top 5 best meals we have ever had. Love this place.

Love this place! Get a biscuit! Terrific wine by the glass. Scallops appetizer, Alaskan halibut and duck confit. Topped off with banana bread pudding. Our first stop every time we come to Pacific Grove!

This place never disappoints with the quality of the food and the service. Once again we very much enjoyed coming. We had an amazing crab and avocado salad that was worthy of an entree and cost as much at $30. Then we had scallops for the main and they were also fabulous. Don't forget those amazing biscuits!

My absolute favorite restaurant- such creative flavors and artisan ingredients with spectacular presentation. Crushed that the owners are retiring but kudos to them for a magnificent success!

Whenever we are in the area, we love to dine at passion Fish. It seems to be family run or it feels like it's family run, the food is fantastic and it's very unusual and that they don't gouge you if you want to enjoy some nice wine with your meal. Their philosophy includes sustainability, which we really admire.

We followed the recommendation of a friend to pick Passionfish and we are very glad we did. My wife had the scallops and enjoyed them a great deal. I had the lamb and it was delicious. We were tempted by the desserts. I chose the bread pudding and loved it. My wife chose the chocolate pudding and said it was excellent. We will definitely come again if we are in the area.

I eaten at Passionfish several times in the past and this one of my go to restaurants when I visit the Monterey Peninsula. I have written several reviews on this in the past so see those past review for additional information. This time I had the Beet Salad as a starter. Main Course: Scallops with an onion and vegetable mix Dessert: Panna Cotta with Cherry Sauce Also had their home made biscuit. Fabulous dinner. They change their menu frequently which is part of the charm of this restaurant. I strongly recommend it.

My husband and I had high expectations for this restaurant but we were very disappointed. We were both excited to eat at a place that boasts sustainable catch. It's disappointing to see that the menu has not changed. I don't know if they even have a seasonal menu. The toastaditas had a soggy bottom and were quite stale. It was a difficult bite. It had a chunk of "slaw" to top it off that overwhelmed the whole dish. I could not even taste the ceviche. Greens salad was just a standard salad. The dressing was sweet and missing some acidity. It tasted bland. Buttermilk biscuit was good. The size is a bit too big for me but it was buttery and soft. My husband ordered the tuna and to be honest, it was overcooked. I don't know if they meant to cook it that way but we did not enjoy it. It could have been sliced thinner but it seemed chunky. The caponata had so much celery that all you could taste was the celery. A little dusting of sumac on top that I don't think added any flavor to the dish. Tuna was bland. Scallops was good. The tomato truffle sauce was yummy. The rice custard was also good. It reminded me of a risotto but as a custard. The dish was lacking in texture. It felt like one note. Everything on the plate was soft. Dessert.. the torte was not a torte. It had the consistency of a brownie. It sat on too of the passion fruit syrup which resulted with a soggy bottom. The passion fruit syrup did not complement the brownie at all. We were confused with the combination.

We had a celebratory dinner with a friend who had not been back to Passionfish since Covid started. She was missing the crab salad and on a warm evening, another one of us had it, too. It was delicious and now will be another beloved choice for our family also. Several diners added the biscuit to their meals and were very happy with that choice also. My spouse had the scallops on a recommendation from an earlier visit and was pleased. The chocolate mango dessert was a treasure for our birthday celebrant. From appetizers to desserts Passionfish is a winner.

The food was delicious! My husband had the smoked trout ceviche and the whole grilled trout. I had the beet salad and grilled shrimp. Everything was wonderful and fairly priced. The service was amazing. We split the mint chocolate fudge pie for dessert. Highly recommend!

Attentive service, although pacing inconsistent. Tables very close together. Enjoyed the black bean fritters and rainbow trout. Duck confit, while a generous portion, was dry and fattoush salad was underwhelming. Would have preferred vanilla ice cream instead of the banana ice cream served with the banana bread pudding.
