Visited March 11, 2024. We were greeted immediately upon entry; friendly employees. We bought a six pack of brown butter and two pack of oatmeal cookies. Oatmeal cookie was average but edible. Very odd texture to the brown butter cookie. Like what eating fine sand might be like. No flavor or at least a little too delicate for my tastebuds. We tossed the rest of the package in search of more satisfying calories. Store felt dimly lit and could use a little personality. Unimaginative stacks of cookie packages on tables. I remember coming here pre-pandemic and having a different experience. I went to the web site to see if there was a change in ownership. Same owners but new production facility. Maybe this has been impactful? We paid $16 for the six brown butter and two oatmeal cookies.

What an amazing find. We went to Paso Robles for a wedding and walked around the downtown area to explore. My friend bought some cookies back to our Airbnb and we were all addicted. In particular, we LOVE the brown butter sea salt cookie with honey, it's thin and comes in 3 pack or 6 pack. After the wedding we went back to the shop before heading back to nor cal. I bought two 6 packs of the honey cookies. The service was so kind, they offered free samples while we were there and were so patient with our large group. The store was clean and well organized. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to swing by and get some delicious cookies!!!

Excellent cookies. Highly recommend both the chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies. Both types were delicious, just the right level of chewy, and not overly sweet.

This is the 2nd location I have visited. The one in Cayucas is the only one that carries peanut butter cookies! I was disappointed. I bought oatmeal raisin instead. They were pretty good and soft.

3.5 stars. As long as you are aware that this is a packaged cookie place, then you can adjust your expectations accordingly. There are no cookies coming fresh and warm out of the oven available for purchase here. Cookies are all at room temperature and packaged. We purchased the 3 pack brown butter sea salt original cookies and a classic sweet and salty sugar cookie. Both cookies were good and they were texturally different. The first cookie had more of a gritty, crumbly texture. The latter was like a regular cookie. They provided cookie samples before purchase.
Must get every time I am in the area. They offer a sample so you can decide what you want.

I initially was drawn to Brown Butter Cookie while looking for gift ideas in downtown Paso Robles and spotted the cookie gift boxes through the shop window. The store associates were very friendly and welcoming, and they offered me a sample of their brown butter cookies. The cookies were sweet and rich with a sandy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Most of the cookies they sell are small, about the diameter of a golf ball, but they are dense and satisfying. Some of the gift packages included larger, flatter cookies as well. While I had hoped that the cookies would have tasted more "fresh-out-of-the-oven," I understand it might not be logistically possible to package up freshly-baked cookies (given the high butter content). As a plus, I could tell that these cookies were made from high-quality ingredients. On the day of my visit, the available flavors were honey, pecan, chocolate, and, the original, brown butter. I ended up purchasing a bag of the pecan cookies as a gift and the original cookies for myself - can't wait to enjoy them with coffee or tea!

The cookie lover in me always has to make a pit stop here for some sweets at least once or twice before leaving. Haven't been for a while which was nice to visit Paso again for the long holiday weekend. Right when I walked in, the smell just gets you. Fresh cookies, all kinds. They offered some samples which was great. Of course you wanted to try everything which is good and bad at the same time. They also have a good deal with the day old copies for a great deal. Of course, I picked up some of those. And boy did they not disappoint. The lemon sugar cookies and oatmeal raisin. Still so soft and perfect. Make sure to give this place a visit.

I entered into this establishment because a friend recommended it. They asked if I wanted a sample. Ah, yes please! Then, I fell in love with what I put into my mouth ~ pecan cookie! I bought the tower special for $20, as they said it's all their most popular cookies in it. I can't wait!
