Hidden gem of a tasting room in the heart of Paso RoblesIf you're walking on the sidewalks, you will miss this one unless you keep a sharp eye for signs pointing to it. This wineries tasting room is a small but cozy room with the entrance opening on a parking area. Next door to Jeffrey s Wine Country BBQ.The counter service here is friendly and informative. Their tasting flight makes it really difficult to pick just one varietal. I bought five bottles, this being the only white wine. I never buy white wine or rosé. This one changed all that.Their Rozanne Pinot Noir Rosé is the only white wine I will drink. I bought only one bottle of that to bring home and four others of their traditional Pinot Noirs that I tasted and really enjoyed! I will update this post once I open those bottles.I have checked at another large chain here that sells wine and more. They don't carry it so it looks like a road trip is in order to restock on the Rosé. I might need to sign up for the wine club on this one. ?. Ship it to me, please and thank you!

The winemaker Raymond Smith was pouring when I went on Friday, March 31. My group was fortunate to have him do the tasting that night. It was a pleasure to have the winemaker there to explain the wines, share the stories behind some of the blends, and to just talk to an interesting human being.Ask about the philanthropy that Indigine does through some of their wines. It was an incredible experience. Discovered and purchased 6 bottles. Look forward to returning next time I’m in Paso.

Decided to stop by here before dinner on a Saturday night and had such a great experience! Right when we walked in we were greeted so warmly it made more us excited to stay. As our tasting continued we were amazed by the knowledge of wine that Ian had, and really enjoyed making conversation while enjoying some delicious wines. Came for the great wine, stayed for the amazing customer service! Thank you to Ian for a great kick off to our visit to Paso Robles!

One of our favorite places in Paso! Grab a bottle of Sangiovese, it's specular! Learn about Paso & Monterey Wines in the alley with Raymond for an incredible time! Cheers!

Had a great tasting with Ian. Very knowledgeable and really led us thru the tasting. The Pinot noir Rose was stellar. Will visit again.

My first trip was last year with my brother in law. I love the vibe there and it is one of those hidden gems in the middle of the alley. The wine is delicious and his candles smell amazing. I drive for the Bay Area to enjoy it. Thanks Ray for having such a GEM

What an amazing spot! We discovered it on accident and it turned out to be one of our favorites on our trip to Paso. Great wine and great hospitality.

A local gem tucked in an alley off the main town square, Indigene Cellars offers fresh, fun wines with terrific backstories. Very pet-friendly, and fun to sit on stools in the alley while sampling fabulous wine. Our tasting expert answered and even anticipated our questions. I noticed we weren't the only ones buying a glass or two after our tasting flight to prolong the conversations about the vineyards, the climate, and the people who make these incredible wines. Have nearly finished our bottles, so time for a return trip!

We came by on a Thursday to taste some wine, and this place did not disappoint. Ian was very friendly and we had such a great time learning about the wines and having good conversation. We will definitely be back to experience this place again!

What a gem of a find. My friend served this wine at her wedding and we were wowed by the first sip. She selected this wine not only because it was delicious but also because of its ties to philanthropic efforts in the Bay Area. We made a promise that we would visit the winery as soon the pandemic would allow. Fast forward to today, we were finally able to visit the tasting room. I was relieved that there was an outdoor seating area for the tasting. Every single wine was delicious and poured nicely into a beautiful glass. Our faves: Ambiente: the amazing wine that drew us to the winery in the dirt place. Light, smells great, delicious. Pinot: smells great, has a unique palate / finish Chardonnay: I don't like the buttery-ness of Chardonnays but this one was super clean tasting. Also very fragrant and crisp. I had to do a double take to see if I was drinking a chardonnay. Super laid back, friendly and unpretentious. How a wine tasting should be! We left with 6 bottles (to share with friends as gifts) and joined the wine club.

Had the most AMAZING experience here last night with my family, my dad's in town and we all went to check out Ray's tasting room as somehow we still hadn't been yet. Ray's love of wine truly shows through in his commitment to delivering an excellent experience all around. His bartender (hi, '"Red"!) was also amazing in his knowledge of the wines and was overall such pleasant company, he and Ray created a very fun and comfortable atmosphere! Bought a wonderful bottle of sweet muscat, I'll be visiting again when I run out! Thanks again boys for such a lovely evening and making my dads visit so special
