Premium pricing based on location not cleanliness or service. Stayed during July 4th weekend in a partial ocean view room with a balcony. Upon walking in, the room had the stench of mildew/mold due to an improperly draining shower. We had to buy vinegar to pour down the drain and mop up water inside the shower daily. The wallpaper is peeling, the sheets were stained, and there is accumulated dust in every corner. The balcony has cobwebs, layers of dirt, and filthy chairs appearing to have not been cleaned in a long time. On top of all this, the room is under their rooftop patio, which had a lot of noise and on July 4th was used for a party which involved horrendously loud furniture moving between 12:00-1:30am after the party, which meant not being able to sleep. The cherry on top, the hotel boasts their rooftop patio, yet charged $70 ($500 VIP) to access it to view fireworks. Overall, awful experience with nasty mold and mildew, lack of cleanliness, and loud furniture moving over guest rooms. There are better hotels to pay premium prices at in Pismo.

Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The balcony had beautiful views over the ocean and the Pismo Beach illuminated sign. You have a car park below but this didn’t interfere with our enjoyment at all. The pier area is busy but we loved just people watching when relaxing on the balcony. Shops and restaurants are right along the streets as you leave the hotel. Lots to choose from. Nice village feel to the area. Hotel staff very pleasant. Didn’t eat in the foyer restaurant but the staff were real Nice and gave me extra creamers for our coffee maker in our room. Think the restaurant was being refurbished so this may have been a temporary dining area. We only had two nights at the hotel as we were driving the PCH from SFO to Huntington beach so we were happy to relax in the sun on our balcony our last afternoon. The only complaint I had, which was nothing to do with the hotel, was there was a busker playing a full drum set on the boardwalk just on the edge of the car park below us. He had earphones on so obviously drumming to a sound track but after 4 hours of the constant drumming (which was not that good) it was nerve wracking & I had to come in several times to not get a headache. Such a shame. Fine if you just walk past once but for hours on end it was not good. Maybe your local tourism office needs to know how deafening this was for hours for guests residents and businesses nearby. The hotel I couldn’t fault though and your valet parking staff were very polite and efficient. We didn’t wait more than a minute each time we wanted the car. We would stay again. Thank you.

Billing practice issue to start. My wife prepaid on our card months prior and at check-in we were charged again. Was told the ‘old system’ had been changed and the original charge didn’t crossover into the ‘new system’ regardless the next day they fixed it and credited us the refund. Breakfast was hot and delicious, staff friendly and kind however they were understaffed and as a result slow service. Hard for only two people to manage that many tables and handle bar service for to-go coffees, etc. they needed a bus person .Appears recently remodeled and looks nice but would have liked charging outlets at bedside instead of outlets away from nightstands. Very helpful Valet for the car and luggage thank you Richard handled our bags with care and very attentive!

The description of the restaurant on Open Table and Google are misleading. Apparently the seating of the lobby is considered part of the restaurant anytime before 10 AM when the restaurant actually opens (not described or mentioned online, which also means it's a completely different set of menus. In addition no one cared to receive us or accommodate our reservation. The receptionist at the front desk of the hotel was very rude and gave us a heavy attitude when we asked for help locating the restaurant. It was clear our presence was not welcomed at this facility so proceeded to cancel our reservation. We hope the service evolves at this location, I truly had high hopes for this restaurant and experience.

Had early morning breakfast at Blonde. The dining area (not really a restaraunt) was oddly situated within and completely exposed to the hotel's lobby entrance---nothing cozy, private or inviting about it. Food appeared appetizing, portions were appropriate but arrived to the table lukewarm and servers were inattentive to coffee refills, etc. Overall, just okay.

If you don’t mind looking over a parking lot then the brown is spectacular. The ocean and the pier are very close. When we were there the bait fish were running so we saw whales breaching. We had a sea gull that wanted to be our best friend on our patio every time we opened the door. The room was nice however the pool activities is on the roof and very small and I would say it is more a bar for adults than a play area for kids. Not a negative for us since we had no children with us but could be for young families. You are definitely in the heart of Pismo and perfect walking activities. Restaurants are right there as well as fresh cinnamon rolls within a block. Ice cream is within a block south while the cinnamon rolls are north. Easy walking to both. A nice bar right out of the beach parking lot. Almost visible from the full ocean view rooms as you exit the parking lot. Walk over don’t drive the 100’. The parking and check in for the Inn at the Pier is confusing to find. Ask for directions the first time. Harry’s is great for dancing and no car required!

Awful. We stayed here in September 22 and loved it so we had an expectation. First of all, no one WARNED us that floor 3 is a construction mess. As soon as you walk out of the elevator you see it. There were baseboards missing, curtains down, tools and hardware out in the open. One elevator shakes constantly when you are inside. Outside our room were dirty spoons and glasses. The “public” bathrooms on the 3rd floor smelled like sewage. Our own room bathroom had a lock that did not work. The chair in the room had white splatters of something all over the back. The air conditioner was not working correctly as it kicked on and off very loudly all night. Definitely not worth close to $500 per night after fees and parking. We have referred so many Cal Poly families here but never again. They told me to leave the feedback here at the front desk since the company acquiring them does not have any direct email for feedback.

Everything we had was fabulous! Poke Nachos, Vegetable Pappardelle, and Apple Bread Pudding. All amazing and well worth the price. The staff were very attentive, very friendly and provided excellent suggestions. Can’t say enough wonderful words about this restaurant and their staff. Try it you’ll love it!

The room had not been cleaned at all, there were hairs, food crumbs all over the sofas, chairs and floor. None of the work surfaces were wipe clean and there was a foul smell in the room. There were used make up removal pads on the bedside tables. I made a complaint about this and said we would leave the room to be cleaned and asked for the sofa bed to made. On our return no cleaning had been performed and the bedding for the sofa was just left on the sofa. I went to see the front desk to address this matter and the cleaning crew were sent again to do the task that should have been done before we arrive and when we first complained. I was told my bill would reviewed (it was not) and again when I checked out I was offered some money off and nothing was given. Since leaving I have emailed twice about my stay and there has been no response. Do not stay here, the lack of care and attention to the basic levels of cleanliness are not observed here. You would think after recent events people in the hotel industry would be more careful

This is a new (2017) hotel overlooking the Pismo Beach Pier. We originally booked an ocean view suite, but right before our trip we took advantage of an upgrade offer to a 2-room ocean view corner suite. This room was phenomenal!! It was the size of a large apartment with a kitchen, microwave and full-size refrigerator (but no stove), a living area with a 55" TV set, then a separate bedroom and very large bathroom with walk-in shower. What a wonderful place to chill out and walking distance to all the restaurants, shops, and the pier and beach. The bed was very comfortable, shower had good water pressure, though with no shower door it was a bit cold drying off. The balcony had some chairs and small tables and view of the ocean and pier was spectacular. We didn't eat at the rooftop restaurant, but we did enjoy the small dipping pool before it rained on our last afternoon there. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Valet parking is the only option for $30 per night, but it includes EV charging if required. Wifi in the room is included as is access to the fitness center. In a perfect world, the hotel should include some plates, cups, and silverware in the kitchen. We tend to get our food out and bring it back to the room so having some proper plates and cutlery would be nice.

Service horrible. Ordered an appetizer, soup for 2 of us and we both ordered an entree and SURPRISE, we received all 3 at the same time. Not good. IT doesn't take a genius to know that they get served individually, I am assuming the waitress has never dined out except at a drive thru establishment. The drinks were horrible and there were not but 12 other customers there the same time we were. What a horrific experience my sister had on her 82nd birthday. Only one star because there is no option for negative stars. The food sucked, the clam chowder sucked and the Italian entree was not Italian at all. My sis would know, she lived in Italy for 15 years. I cannot find anything decent to say, so I will stop now. I will let everyone I know who goes to Pismo to definitely mark off the restaurant and lodging facilities off their list for accommodations!! Disgruntled in Bakersfield

My wife and I had a great 2nd stay at the Inn at The Pier. We loved our room with the fireplace. However the customer service was the most outstanding part. Cesar and Jaelan at the valet always took care of us and greeted us with a warm welcome

We had a great time at Inn at the Pier! Our rooms were very clean and comfy! The front lobby was a great area to play our tradition Mexican Train game! The evening staff was playing some awesome music that night. It made the evening extra special. We look forward to going back again soon! In fact, as I write this, it will be this weekend!!
