Meh, food good not great. Had tonight's special, halibut l, and it was mushy as was the rice. . Steak was overcooked. Great view of beach and sunset. Service was excellent.
The seafood linguini was excellent; (a cross between cioppino and linguini) light tomato sauce and lots of seafood. The baby back ribs were also excellent.
Absolutely fantastic. The food is top notch and the views are spectacular. We had a chance to meet the Executive Chef last night too which was above and beyond cool.
Service and drinks were great. The food was ok. Not great but not bad. We had the pesto salmon with vegetables. They gave us a dessert for our anniversary which was very nice of them. We would go back.
The view is incomparable, our food was great, and the service was attentive! I would highly recommend Vista for a fine dining experience.
We were visiting Pismo Beach and looking for a restaurant to have our Easter dinner. We had an early afternoon meal at a table along the windows overlooking the beach and the Pacific. It was a magical view. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had a special of halibut. Both our meals were exceptional and perfectly prepared. For dessert we split a pina colada bread pudding , which was unique and flavorful. Our waiter was a college student from San Lois Obispo who was cheerful, welcoming and fun to talk to. The rest of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend the Vista Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
Vista Bar and Grill is wonderful food is always so good thier wait staff are awesome they didn't have a sauce in house that my brother wanted, the manager went out of her way on Easter to get what he wanted from thier other resturant which was soooo nice of her she didnt have to do that but that so nice. I cant wait to go back and the veiw hello you cant beat a view they have of the ocean.
My husband and I had delicious dinners. Hubs had shrimp and scallop pasta, and I had shrimp tacos. Both dinners were really good. Ambiance was upbeat, lively. Plenty of parking,

Food was mediocre for the price. Ordered a waffle and it tasted burnt. Service has lots of room to improve. Still giving them a 4 star because we wanted a restaurant away from the pier and downtown area with its own parking lot. The restrooms were very clean, restaurant was nicely decorated and had a great ocean view. Great for the 65+ crowd and couples.

My husband and I live in Pismo and are regulars, dining here 1-2 times a month. Today 1/2/25 is a new year, everyone on a fitness kick…we came in for lunch. The menu is the same as the dinner menu. I ordered a wedge salad. What a disappointment. I know what a “wedge salad “ is. This was a disappointment. It arrived with 4-5 grape size tomatoes sliced in half on the side of the iceberg lettuce wedge. Less than typical. There was less than a teaspoon of bacon. Also less than in the past. So little ranch dressing on top and on the side. I had to ask for another dressing. This for $15 .
We will not return anytime soon.

We ate very well at the open bar. The oysters were excellent (but in one there was only the shell!), the fried calamari and the focaccia were delicious. The price of the wine is exaggerated, 72 dollars for four glasses!

Ocean front views, variety of interesting items on the menu, professional servers, all made for a great meal. We stopped mid-afternoon and shared a cheese and meat platter which was one of the best I've had in a long time.

This is one of our go-to steakhouses in the Pismo area, and for good reason. Number one, the view is absolutely breathtaking. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of orcas swimming and leaping out of the water in a mesmerizing display. It’s truly awe-inspiring. Number two, the food and service are consistently great. The only downside for us was the coffee. It was extremely bitter and didn’t quite meet our standards as coffee lovers. But overall, it’s an incredible dining experience we always enjoy!

My wife and I were enjoying a glass of wine at the bar when the bartender poured Fabulouso everywhere and started hosing down the floor with a sprayer. When you close at 10 PM on a Saturday, don’t pour chemicals everywhere and start spraying the floor with a hose at 9:15. You need to wait until after closing. We had to leave because the smell was so strong. Is this a joke? Who is managing this place???
