My bf has came to this sushi restaurant for a long time in the past and every time it was amazing. So he wanted to take me. Unfortunately, it was horrible experience, ordered to go we were staying at the Cary House Hotel and wanted to bring back to enjoy. Orders 3 rolls in which only 1 was supposed to warm and ordered tempura plate. Appetizer was edamame and gyzos. We called in the order and they told me 40 minutes and when we got there there was nobody even there or waiting and I feel like my order was sitting for who knows how long my order was sitting there . Then got to hotel and was missing soup and rice . I asked if there was soy sauce and wasabi we had 3 rolls and there was enough for one roll . Rolls were all squeezed into one to go container with a cooked roll you should not place cold rolls amongst them. Bad service. I also want to add that it made me sick . Was up and down entire evening. Wouldn't recommended at all.

We have been several times and the wait time is RIDICULOUS! Over an hour to get our food. They are cranking out to-go orders and the in house customers suffer. Food is good, but staffing and sence of urgency is sorely lacking. The table next to us left because they needed to get back to work. Probably won't be back.

This place is the perfect combination of big city flavor and small town atmosphere. Every plate was a work of art and every bite was a wonderful adventure for the taste buds. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The staff were all super friendly. The sushi chefs really take their craft to heart.

I had previously rated this restaurant higher, but they have gotten so slow preparing food that I can't recommend it anymore. The food still tastes great, but waiting over an hour after we have ordered a small amount of sushi to get our food to the table is unacceptable.

While the food is always great we have decided to start driving down the hill, sadly. Wait times are too long to sit and they won't take reservations (after 4). This is just too much after drive time, wait time to sit and wait time for food (normally 45-60 min). Trying to catch dinner with family/friends becomes a 3-4 hour event with unnecessary frustration. Driving down the hill for dinner is just more reliable. This hurts as we prefer supporting local stores.
We rarely come to this place and we have never liked the service and we always come when it is the last option and the service only gets

On three straight occasions waiter forgot to place full order in. On the last time waited 45 minutes for order which was not ready. Paid for drinks and walked out. Waiters chat amount themselves and pay no attention to guests. We will never go back!!! Surprising that this place is still open!

I've been here a few times and it's been a mixed experience. The most recent was a pick up order for my kid's birthday party and the food was just awful. We ordered mostly California rolls which are so simple you would think it's hard to get wrong but they were practically inedible. The avocado was so brown it was unrecognizable and ruined the flavor. The texture of the rice was not good either. It really felt like we were given the previous day's discards and I'm just grateful nobody got sick before we threw away the rest.

I’ve lived in the area for 10 years. This used to be my favorite restaurant. Not anymore. The quality of food has gone downhill and the wait time has tripled. The best thing we had on Saturday was the miso soup. ? I think I’ll try Shila’s the next time I’m craving sushi.Last thing….the music is terrible and way to loud. What is happening!?!

Should have went to Shila’s. Waited 40 mins -during a not very busy time- for mediocre sushi. Service is bad. The staff aren’t busy with tables, they’re busy with themselves and couldn’t care less about you. The best roll we had was the Rooster. The kid chicken meal was a joke; a bed of rice with mostly tempura chicken and the thinnest slice of orange and pineapple as fruit. What kid eats plain white rice? Definitely not worth the money so won’t bereturning. It’s a bummer my husband and I came here for our anniversary.
