Hi everyone The del rey deli is now Authentic Cafe Take Away. I was the chef for the deli for the last two years and took over. Thanks Roger

Back open again! Now under new ownership, and they've changed the name from Del Rey Deli to Authentic Cafe Take Away. Most of the menu is like the original, but they've added new things that I'm excited to try in the future. I ordered my usual chicken pesto and tuna sandwich. Each layer in the chicken pesto brought out such amazing flavor, it tastes even better than before. And that's when I noticed they've changed some ingredients! It's a little more spicy, which I don't mind, instead of arugula it's now Tuscan kale that is tangy in flavor, they've also added buratta and provolone instead of mozzarella. Pretty subtle changes that made a world of difference! It's amazing! The tuna had more of a pickled flavor to it that was refreshing, I believe it also had provolone with shredded lettuce. We loved their sandwiches before and we love them even more now!!

Amazing lunch sandwiches for the area workers and residents. Always friendly and they have a great variety to choose from

Waited in front of the cashier yesterday for a solid 2 minutes until acknowledged. I was handed my $20 Reuben with a "here ya go dude." For an overpriced sandwich, at least have over the top customer service

Tiny portion, expensive pathetic customer service. Save your money go somewhere else

Im from NY and wasnt sure about the delis when i lived out there but this deli was awesome. Their cuban sandwich is amazing! Used to get one at least twice a week when i lived there. Still crave it from time to time lol!!

Very nice little sandwich spot! Food is absolutely delicious but a tad overpriced. Can't fault them for that during the pandemic and it never stops me from going back! They do a great job.

These Breakfast Burritos are Awesome!! The Potatoes are cooked with rosemary, bacon adds a little smoke, and the salsa is perfect. Add avocado $17 for a breakfast burrito but worth every penny. ?

Holy moly, I think I just found the best tuna salad sandwich in LA. Even more impressive, it was delivered by DoorDash and was still perfection. Huge portion too. I forgot to take a photo but I'll be back and again and will update my review afterwards.

The best sandwiches on the west side. It’s a classic little deli with a ton of great options and friendly staff. They usually have some fantastic daily specials so there’a always something new to try. There’s a few tables outside if you want to sit in the sun, or the beach is only a few blocks away. Highly recommend!

Stay away from the tomato soup or should I say tomato water. But all the sandwiches are superb! Highly recommend the smash burger as well. Prices are ridiculously high, but the food is almost worth it.

Breakfast Burrito raw bacon, overpriced and tasteless. Will not go back to this place.

Every time I go here I am reminded why even though they are right down the street, I'd rather drive somewhere else for a sandwich. The sandwiches are alright, but the owners are jerks. This was the last time I'll be giving them my business. Totally rude and unfriendly, even with our cute 8 month old baby with us.

New city, new eats! I hadn't eaten alll day so you know there was pressure on this sandwich. But it did NOT disappoint! Went for the turkey and it was out of this world. Wishing I lived in the area and could make this a regular stop.
