One of my favorites places in LA! I’m practically a daily customer. The price is good and the food is amazing. Beside that the owner, Nando and the waitress are always helpful and kind.
Amazing hambúrguer, and very cheap, 10,90$ with fries and drink..
Pretty decent pizza. Italian style...like the people running the place are closely connected to actual Italians in italy
Love the food, the staff and the great live music on the outdoor patio!
My favorite spot for Italian food in Westchester. Homemade cannoli was excellent. Squid ink pasta was the best I've had anywhere. Will be back again and again. Nando's hospitality is also unparalleled- he seems to know every customer and pedestrian who walks by.
Had an assistant pick a larger order...she was delayed from the restaurant having to remake a burnt pizza. Unfortunately she didn't have the chance to look at the calzone before the staff packed our larger order, because we definitely would not have accepted this charcoal excuse called a calzone. I'm disappointed that they think this is acceptable for the whopping $17! And to add insult to injury...my salad had a thimble size dressing. Dissatisfied customer.
The name should be THE AMAZING PIZZA. Not only was the pizza off the hook. So was everything. Loved it!
BEWARE OF THIS PLACE !!! I've been going to this restaurant for years and never had any problems. But today is the last time and I suggest you avoid it at all costs because what I ordered was not the price I've been paying all this time. I ordered chicken piccata which is $13.00 on the lunch menu when I finally got the check it was $16.00 each and when I complained about I was verbally assaulted by the owner saying that his costs had gone up and it was my fault. NOWHERE IS IT WRITTEN On the menu or neither the server said anything about any price difference and when I questioned the price I was threatened and verbally assaulted by this man in the presence of ten people this is what I get for being a loyal customer....NO THANKS NEVER AGAIN. Clearly their license should be reviewed by the city of Los Angeles and thats exactly what I'm going to do by filing a complaint. Restaurants have a right to refuse service but they DO NOT THE RIGHT TO PHYSICALLY THRETEN CUSTOMERS AND A 90 YEAR OLD MAN.. Hank's Pizza has been operating at the same location over 40 years I suggest you go there.
All around great food, great service, and love that Nando gives everyone special attention!!!
What can we say ? THE GOOD PIZZA , has always been better than good, should be called THE GREAT PIZZA. Now with the very European outside atmosphere, The owner & most charming host, NANDO IS THERE TO PLEASE. Whole menu is really good, and the specials are always outstanding. Don't see something Italian you would like, just ask, an often times you'll be surprised at Nando's flexibility. Wine list surprisingly good and varied . Andrea and the entire wait staff are friendly & aim to please. So if you'd like a little bit of Italy, right here in Playa/Westchester, this is the place! Almost forgot, the new desert bar is DELIZIOSO! See you there, BOBBY & MONICA.
It was the night before L.A. was set to reopen, my son's 30th birthday, and we chose to have a family style Italian feast in the tent at Nando's Good Pizza, for 14 people. He worked with me on every detail, from menu, to glassware, to table cloths. It was elegant and yummy. Starting with plates of fritto misto - calarmari & shrimp; to bowls of mussels in red with sausage, and white wine & garlic. Followed by lobster tails on a bed of a spaghetti Puttanesca. We brought our own cake, which he plated with scoops of various ice creams. Champagne flowed. and the service was impeccable!!! And they even let me Bluetooth a special playlist. It was a gorgeous meal. A perfect night. At a very reasonable price. and did i mention that the waitstaff was beyond?! Thank you, Nando! x, from Rio & his clan.
The slices are good, but a fresh pizza is next level. If you can, grab a slice of the pesto bianca. Best slice I've ever had.
Food is decent but not the "managers". He lost a customer. Ordered a lunch special on Yelp, had it many times before. Choose fries as my side, added a Cesar for $1.00. Also ordered an order of fries. I got the salad and order of fries but did not get the side of fries that comes with the sandwich. I called and asked for a manager. I was put on hold and the same person picked up, pretending he wasn't the same person. I said, "is this the manager? Didn't I just speak to you?" He tried to say oh I can help. I asked for a manager, again. He put me on hold as I heard him say "he wants to talk to someone else". The next person didn't give his name or say he was a manager. I asked, are you the manager, seemed like he said yes but couldn't be sure. I explained the situation and he started arguing with me. His response, "I have the order and you didn't get charged for the salad." Not true from the bill I can see. And not what I was missing. Another key moment..."You're only missing an ounce of fries". He kept going so I hung up. No customer interaction should ever get to this point. I work in customer service and take care of clients daily. Had he been professional, given me two dollars back or a free order of fries it would have been fine but ultimately it wasn't the food or the money. Who needs to waste time patronizing a business that cannot resolve simple mistakes? Clearly this "manager" has no idea what he's doing. Even if I do like the lunch special, it was my last visit.
Small restaurant with a covered patio on the outside. great seating with heater easy to access for disabled customers. the staff is very attentive, must try the deserts especially the cannoli.never remembered taking a picture until now because the food is always good. the pizzas are huge and the garlic knots are amazing.pictured is the calzone and my had is used to scale. really big and especially delicious.
