I have been here a total of 3 times so far. Twice now for my birthday. The tea is great and the foods alright. The service needs some work however and that is why I am rating it 3 stars. Our first two visits were full of awkward interactions which is fine we ignored it, but our most recent visit in October for me and my friends birthday was just too much and it makes me not want to return. When stating we were present for our reservation there was a moment of them just staring at us. I didn't know what else to give them other than name and time so I asked if they needed to see the confirmation which then prompted them to check for it and seat us.Then after checking the order with us 3 times they gave us the wrong tea. We ordered peaches and cream and each time they said peaches and cream as did we but we received cookies and cream. We felt awkward asking for a replacement once we realized because no one was really checking in on us and after the first interaction we were already made to feel like a bother. We did bring a cake and macarons for a picnic we were going to do for me and my friend to blow candles out at at a local park after. I did specify we would not be eating them there we just didn't want to have them melt in the car and they had told us that was fine. My friend was getting ready to leave so I went to point out the macarons and asked her if she wanted me to bring some to the car so she could take some with her. As I was showing her the flavors we were immediately told if we served them we would be charged a plating fee. I reminded staff we didn't want to serve them and apologized for the confusion, I told them we would be happy to take them outside if she wanted some but I was just showing my friend what we had through the clear top of the box. She seemingly ignored what I said and at no point in this conversation was her tone polite and she progressively got more agitated with me over what felt like a nothing issue and all of my friends were really weirded out by the way she handled it. My friend got so uncomfortable she just didn't want them anymore so that the situation could be over.I will be looking for another tea room to celebrate my birthday moving forward as right after someone hit my car outside of the place so both the bad service and bad experience right after has really put a damper on me wanting to return haha. This place does a bad job at making you feel welcome in their establishment.

We went yesterday, December 2023. This place was awesome! Greeted with friendly faces while we walked into a floral, beautiful, frilly decorated magical tea room. The food was absolutely unique and yummy (sweet and savory) being made fresh every morning in their kitchen. Yes I said everything is homemade. And the tea was to die for ... so many selections. The staff were warm and their smiles and welcoming personalities were a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much The RoyalTEA Garden! We'll be back again and again and again. Right now they have a Christmas tea which is just a tad bit more expensive at $75. But when it's a non-holiday time it is $65. Well worth this money.

I tea-partied with a few of my gal pals and had a great time. The food was ok but they have lots of tea options. My favorite was the red velvet tea. It wasn't too sweet and had a sweet chocolate aroma without being too overbearing. The atmosphere is really cute and girly. Great place to have a tea party with friends and family. I have been to a few other high tea places and this place has the best tea. Service is ok. Since it's typically really crowded, you might have to wait to get your teas. But they always have pots of tea for you to sample. Great way to taste additional teas without having a whole pot that you don't like.

What an absolute gem!!! We had such a nice time celebrating our friend with a girls tea party. It was smooth and easy finding a reservation and we loved that the food was all 100% halal! The decorations are so cute and we had a great time eating delicious sandwiches, eating their tiny cakes, and drinking the assortment of teas.

To me personally, the experience just wasn't worth the price we paid! The food missed the mark for us. Our set included a good selection of both sweet & savory treads, but the food was just ok and nothing wowed us.What wowed me was the bill at the end.A friend made the reservation and ask us to join and unfortunately we didn't ask about the price up front. My bad.$75 per person + 18% service charge added to our check (only 4 people in our group!) got us to $192 for two.In my opinion this was way overpriced for what we got.The atmosphere was ok, but the music was a bit loud and the song selection could have been a bit more subtile for this kind of ambient. After about 90 minutes we were asked to wrap things up to make space for the next seating. We probably would have left soon anyway, but it still felt a bit pressured. On the positive side they had a good selection of teas and everyone could get their own pot which was nice. The shop itself is nicely decorated and the service was good as well.We got some nice pictures from our visit, but overall the experience didn't match the price and therefore I can't recommend it.

I took my 6 year old niece here for her first real tea party. She absolutely loved it! The owner was so gracious and truly made her feel so special! They offer a princess menu which was unexpected. Such a great assortment of delicious food. The small retail section is also a nice touch. We had a very special day that we will both remember forever. My niece and I both highly recommend this establishment. We're fortunate to have this in Pleasanton.

I was at first hesitant to come here because of some of the reviews but I am so glad I did not listen to them and decided to book! My family and I had such an amazing time and all I have to say from the moment we walked in to our fair wells the staff were so kind and accommodating! As an avid, tea goer I must say there food is the best I've ever had at any tea house! Everything is made from scratch and you can tell! The price point is way beyond fair for what you get. From the food, service, decor, and ambiance. Don't miss out on bay areas best tea house because in all honesty some of the reviews some people have written do not add up to the experience my family and I had. Will be back for their holiday high tea soon!!

we've been to quite a few afternoon tea spots around the bay area, so we decided to make the drive out to pleasanton for this one. unfortunately, it missed the mark for us in terms of food.their service was wonderful & the girl who helped us was super sweet. i'm pretty sure she gave my fiancé the captain america teapot, so he'd feel more included lolthey have a very extensive tea selection you can choose from. what's nice is that each person gets their own teapot! cream & sugar are also included, which is something i always appreciate. i always enjoy a cup of black tea with some cream & sugar in mine.unfortunately, i do think their tea sandwiches & pastries were subpar. for a place that focuses only on afternoon tea, i had higher hopes & expectations. many of their savory pastries were pretty dry & the sweet ones were just okay. i wasn't really wow'ed by anything i ate. definitely think this spot is just for the vibes tbh.would i recommend? unfortunately no. there's so many other spots around the bay area that have way better food options & if you're gonna make the drive somewhere, might as well drive into sf for high tea at the fairmont or the rotunda.

This is a cute place to experience high tea in Downtown Pleasanton. It’s sort of hard to find this place because the umbrellas from the tables outside cover the sign. Just know it’s next to Baci’s. And it’s important to be punctual. If you’re early for your allotted time, you can wait outside or peruse the stores nearby.Once my friend and I were seated, a warm scone was on the table along with the lemon curd, clotted cream, and jam. It was pretty good. It was flaky and buttery. The tea menu is quite large. The tea is unlimited so you can try different ones. If you do, don’t be a newbie like me and try to finish the pot. Looks are deceiving because the pot holds a lot of tea. I was extremely stuffed finishing my pot along with the food so I didn’t get to try other teas. The food options had a good balance of sweet and savory. Out of the finger sandwiches, the chicken salad wrap was the favorite. It didn’t have too much mayo and the cranberries gave it a touch of sweetness. The egg salad also didn’t have too much mayo and showcases the egg. The cucumber one was a nice palate cleanser. The mini savory tarts were good, too. There was a pork sausage one, mushroom, and salmon. Out of the three, the salmon one was the favorite. The smoked salmon along with the cream cheese and fresh dill was yummy. I was stuffed by the time I got to the sweets but I ate what I could and my friend took the rest home. I liked the vanilla cupcake with cherries and this custard that had a stewed apple. The napoleon was okay, but my friend liked it.Service was prompt and friendly. The service lasts for 3hrs and we didn’t feel rushed. It’s small inside with a few tables outside, but I think it’s best to eat inside. The seating outside is narrow and next to the parking lot. There is a lot of plants but not enough to whisk you away to an English garden. The price was $65 per person and there’s a $20 deposit per person that is applied to the bill. Tip is included and I am one of those people that prefers a service charge over tipping. I’m not going to use this as my soapbox so I’ll just leave it at that. However, there’s a place where you can add more… it may be their POS but if the tip is included, then there shouldn’t be a place to add it.The price is a lot and I wonder if it can be lowered if there is an option to not have unlimited tea. But I enjoyed my food and time here. If you’ve never had high tea before, this is a good place to experience it.
