This is currently my favorite place to order food. The people working there are always nice and I like the majority of what I've had here. I like that they serve dishes that are hard to find (at least in my area) like hamburg steak. I think the ramen, hot soba, hamburg curry bento, and the tuna mayo rice ball are particularly good. My favorite authentic Japanese restaurant! It's a mom and pop shop that's great for takeout. If you want delicious Japanese home cooking in the IE, look no further. Our go-to orders are: Chicken Katsu Curry (so, so good!!!), CA rolls, tonkotsu ramen (of course, she packs the broth separately from the ramen so it doesn't get soggy) and summer noodles (try it! -when available). I love this restaurant! The owner has been swamped since quarantine and when I picked up food today, I saw she had put a sign saying she's planning on retiring and closing Happy Bento at the end of the day 10/31/2020.
