The State is always delicious and reasonably priced. The State Burger is the best burger around. The poutine, Brussels sprouts, and veloute chicken are very good also. Great service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend. Oh yeah, 11-6 is their weekday lunch menu and the prices are very affordable.

Two stars for not giving me all my change after I paid cash. Beware if you use cash, you will not receive the correct change back. In fact you will incur a loss. And I'm not talking a penny or two. Yeah the food was good, but the fact that your bartender stiffed me the .77¢ I'm entitled to makes me want to warn others. .77¢ is close to a dollar making this business practice unethical. If you do that to 100 people you gain $77 and now 100 people talk poorly about your restaurant.

This was mine and my husbands first time here and we would definitely recommend to others! The atmosphere was cool but not too loud for a bar type restaurant. Drinks were amazing, my favorite was the Fools Gold and my husband loved the wide range whiskey selection. Food was also amazing and great quality and portions for the price. James was our sever and he was great! Very helpful with suggestions and very attentive without being over bearing.

I understand it's not entirely the restaurant's fault, but trying to go on a date and being sat next to other parties at a 2 top with bench seating was obnoxious. I couldn't hear a thing my partner said the whole time we were there. The cocktails were fine, but the food needs seasoning. We only ordered the poutine as an appetizer and it was very underwhelming. We decided not to spend anymore money other than the two cocktails and appetizer we ordered because it just wasn't good. I'd rather go to Yardhouse

It was our first time here, overall I was 10:10 satisfied with the service and atmosphere of the place. The salads we got were great! But I will say we also got the slaw tacos as an entree, however, we weren't too impressed. One dish we could of done without truthfully. The shells seemed to be stale, and the picketed veggies weren't that fresh, including the meat.

Possibly some of the best meatballs I've ever had. Friend got the steak and some onion rings. Everything had so much flavor and was well priced for happy hour too. They have 'the good ranch dressing' for their salads too (you know the one). We didn't have a reservation for a Thursday night and got seated - but other times I've tried to go it can be an hour or so wait especially during weekends. Worth a try, diverse menu and fresh. Waitress was attentive, they even have Coke Zero (omg).
Recently visited here and had the luxury of having Cass as my bartender/waitress and she made the experience absolutely amazing! So good that I came back a second time within a week to try something different. She did not disappoint with the chicken pesto recommendation . Great selection of drinks and food and in great little community. Absolute 5 Across the board!

Finally visited The State on a Tuesday Night. It was the perfect place for date night. It wasn't packed & the service was great. My husband and I arrived at around 8:30 & were seated immediately. I loved the dimmed lights & loved that they were playing alternative indie rock. Not too loud which was perfect, you can still have conversations. My husband ordered the Irish pub burger. He said it was very flavorful & good. The fries were delicious! I had the Velouté Chicken. The sauce was very good & the chicken so tender & juicy. The mash potatoes were a little bit on the dry side but I mixed it a little with the chicken sauce and made it better. I really liked this place, I would love to come back and try something else in the menu & would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try it.

The restaurant was very loud due to a party located by the bar.Vegetarian options: Only a few items for vegetarians. I liked the avacado tacos. My daughter liked the grill cheese sandwich with artichokes. My son thought the Mac n cheese was average.
My wife and I love this place. We live in corona now, however, we come to Redlands everyday Sunday and we religiously frequent here at least 2-3 times a month. Great ambiance, staff is always nice. They have a great drink menu and if you're going for the first time, you have got to order their braised short rib! Absolutely incredible.
