Grew up in Redwood City... a trip to the Bay Area without stopping at Harry's is blasphemy.

Very good stroganoff. Takes me all the way back to my youth when my mom would make it. So delicious and creamy. It was worth the drive from S. San Jose.

Are you hungry? Do you love German beer? This is your place. First of all there's not any German food on the menu! Second the food is cafeteria style and house made fresh. Go up and pick from fresh made classics like jambalaya, turkey pot pie, Roast beef dinner, open face turkey or roast beef sandwich's, hamhocks, pot roast and many other classics. I got jambalaya over rice, and a fresh baked slice of blueberry pie and washed it down with a Spaten lager. Incredible. Prices are reasonable and you get a ton of food. Highly recommend!

This place is a throwback. Friendly and welcoming. Lots of food options but all very average to below average. It's worth a visit for the cafeteria style experience and the ambience, but if you're looking for quality Bavarian fare, you better look elsewhere.

Today was the last time I frequent this establishment. Been coming here on Tuesdays for a few years now. But when the staff behind the line doesn't understand what " Italian Short Ribs over rice" means, then tells me what vegetable I get with the meal, it's time to go. Never had this happen before. It was a blast Harry's Hofbrau. Seeya

A local gem that doesn’t feel like it belongs in California.

Only went for their bar. Was pleasantly surprised at their selection. They got craft beer on tap of the more notable local craft brewers

It was pouring down rain and it was wonderful to go in and sit by a warm fireplace! We went to the buffet. The turkey was carved from the cooked bird in front of us. Had the typical sides but oh so many other sides to choose from. I'm not a gravy fan but I requested a small amount. Was given what I thought was a lot but I have to tell you I ate every drop of that gravy and used my bread roll to mop up the last bits of it . Everything I ate was wonderful. Atmosphere was lovely. I live in PA but I'll be stopping back to Harry's next time I visit my family in CA!

I love this place! Not only have they been in business for many years! The food is delicious! One of favorites is the French Dip, the meat is so tender and great flavor! The Ham is also very tender and it melts in your mouth!!

It seems that the service after 8 o'clock sucks at Harry's hof brow. And the food it's very short on the order. If you know what I mean. Hardly anything still get premium prices. Don't think I'll go back. That's too bad. Somebody going there for over forty years The man that I was dealing with behind the counter was totally Rude

Don’t expect a five-star restaurant just because I give it five stars. It gets five stars for being comfortable, friendly, clean, plus outstanding prime rib and roast beef. Plus they make their pies from scratch. I had prime rib, mashed “Obamas” (dic.taters), blueberry pie - but only because they were out of cherry.Wait. What did I just say? I meant to say don’t ever get the cherry pie. I’ve had it a bazillion times. It’s the most delicious and best cherry pie I’ve ever had, but I’m sure you’ll want the blueberry or the apple. Yeah. They almost never run out of those. Set your sights and stunners for apple. Just forget I mentioned the cherry pie. There’s just not enough of that, apparently.Try and think of anything besides cherry pie…..prime rib.
