What a fabulous little Goldmine this place is. Directly on the backside of the crane pavilion in Richmond. It is a true delight. The atmosphere along with the antique assembly lines are amazing. And the food is absolutely fabulous. The servers are wonderful. And you will really enjoy going here..

Assemble was taken over by new owners and they have ruined it. Terrible, slow service and low-quality food. The $17 club sandwich was made with turkey roll (ie: cheap) lunchmeat and a tiny amount of avocado on half the sandwich and a 15-minute wait after asking 3 servers for more avocado. Pathetic. I imagine the higher reviews are for the place before new management.

Mediocre food.I ordered chilaquiles . I left over more than half.My friend ordered tomato soup and grilled cheese. Hi left over 1/3 his soup and more than half of hoods grilled cheese.Nuff saidOh… there was literally one waitress/barista for the entire restaurant from 10-11:25 a m on a Sunday morning… at which point other employees showed up.Such a beautiful location and cute decorWhat a shame the food and service is so under-whelming ?

The restaurant received seven violation notices in December 2023 by Contra Costa health department; inspector citation includes improper food storage. Its biz license expired as well. Food is mediocre and local residents boycott it because of the owner’s complete disregard for valid concerns. The owner is in violation o the historic conference hall designated usage. Please do not support this corrupt restaurant owner and avoid patronizing it.

My coworkers and I decided to celebrate my birthday at Assemble Kitchen during our lunch break and it was a decision we didn't regret. The service was exceptionally warm and friendly, with a special mention to all the bilingual staff who went above and beyond to make our lunch memorable. Their thoughtful gesture of presenting a beautiful cake and singing happy birthday truly touched my heart.I opted for the chicken pot pie, and it was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor. My coworkers also enjoyed their meals immensely, each dish being a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. ? ?? The restaurant's spacious, open layout exuded a trendy warehouse vibe, adding to the overall dining experience.I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Assemble Kitchen to explore more of their enticing menu offerings. If you're searching for a place with exceptional food, welcoming service, and a unique ambiance, look no further than Assemble Kitchen. It's the perfect destination for any celebration or casual dining experience.- Gracias por su amable servicio ❤️

Lovely place to lunch... Delicious food... Watched sailboats go by outside the window as we ate. Latte was tops. Service was excellent... Waitresses were a little hard to understand.

We arrived after 3pm on Thursday. There were perhaps 5 total tables with people and a couple at the bar. Assemble has a great space to work with , a bar and plenty of parking. Today was quieter than previous visits. I still got the impression the people were new and /or the restaurant had just changed hands. The menu was the same as our last visit 3 months ago. We ordered a Mediterranean happy hour appetizer . They were out of an east brothers draft beer and a red blend wine. Our host admitted a darker beer option would be nice for winter but was not offered .The Cabernet was nice. I got the tomato bisque with a salad. The young male waiter couldn't give me a choice of dressings; when asked it appeared they have ranch but not balsamic. I settle for the chimichurri dressing, present also on my companions salad. The food arrived fairly quickly and was okay. My green salad was fresh. The presentation in the tri-tip salad was nice, but the corn seemed canned rather than roasted. The bisque was also just okay.Another side of warm pita was ordered ie a single 5" pita cut into 6 pieces .The service was courteous and adequate. One slight annoyance was how the bill amount was presented without an ability to see or review the receipt. The amount, presented electronically didn't seem to have a summary review option. It was disconcerting to not know how much was charged for the second pita, for example.Overall a pleasant afternoon in a nice location 3+ stars for.the food which may be better during peak hours .

Can't stop coming back. Rustic elegance, awesome bay view, excellent customer service, and the bar make awesome cocktails. This place is a must do. It's worth the walk around the pier. The food was outstanding. The chilaquiles egg breakfast, wow! What a delight.Parking: Beautiful view of the bay.

The front staff was nice, but I think their kitchen had problems. It took over 20 min for a chips and salsa appetizer, and over an hour for the main course. When the food did come out, we were a pot pie short because they ran out of crust. They quickly expedited a replacement dish... Which was cold in the middle. Even ignoring that fiasco everyone thought most of the dishes were mediocre (despite our being hungry). On the plus side, the garlic bread was good.

I never been to this restaurant before but I think I order the wrong breakfast because it was awful I had the poached eggs not good at all but since that was my first time I probably would go back and give it another try.

Unlike the previous Assemble, the food at Assemble Kitchen has been so uneven that I’m going to give it a rest. I’ve ordered the same items and each time they’ve been different, from excellent to not. I’ve sent back a salad w nothing but greens for a full salad (w corn, tomato, croutons, onion, feta), sent back a Margarita made w “pasteurized “ lime juice for one w freshly squeezed lime, returned to have a to-go Club sandwich remade (bacon was left out, cold cuts instead of fresh turkey). My mistake on that one, as they both contained cold cuts. The staff are very friendly and I have a suspicion that they may do better by themselves without possible cost-saving measures by the owners?Their chimi churri salad dressing is DELICIOUS.I hope things get better bc it’s a great location and I see people are taking advantage of expanded hours.
