Walked in without any expectations, hadn't even read the reviews. Stopped because we got hungry while driving around on our visit to the SF area, saw a sign for Ramen and thought that works. We loved it! Not sure why the ratings aren't higher but our dinner was great! We ordered a couple of the Poke Bowls, which were basically deconstructed sushi rolls - very tasty! My son got the beef teriyaki rice bowl which was a pretty big portion and the sauce was really good. Only complaint...read full review
We've dined here a few times pre-pandemic; I thought the food was average at best. However, during our most recent dine-in experience a few days ago, I was pleasantly surprised at how amazingly good the ramen tasted. Even the sushi was better than it has ever been. I sure hope it wasn't a fluke.

Ishin ramen is so sentimental to me. I have tried many ramen shops in the bay for comfort food, and I want to say that Ishin ramen has hit the home run for me! Their broth has a very distinct flavor combining with chashu just melts in my mouth!! Simple the best. Totally recommend this place. Thanks for opening during this challenging time! Service was also great!
