Got chicken tamales this morning and a hot drink for my wife. My wife is from Mexico and definitely knows what fresh made tamales are so do i. Hard dense masa tells it all. Not good.

Honestly the best Mexican tamales on 23rd st. I have come to them for the past 10+ years and while the prices have increased the portions and the flavor remains the same. The people are warm and welcoming and their customer service is always good. Their salsas OMG! Just delicious. If you are in town and you are craving tamales, please stop by and give them a try! A little cart in an empty lot. They appear to be cash only. Ordered the chicken and the pork and both were a good size, masa was greasy but very tasty. Both meats shredded very finely and had enough sauce to taste the difference btwn the two. My only complaint is their side salsas are way too spicy so couldn't use them. Their set up could be a little more presentable.

For the price (being so low ) I was expecting a small Lil tamales..... nope they were a very NICE size,very filling, seasoned perfectly!IT WAS PERFECT!!!! We loved them!!! Chicken or pork WE LOVED THEM ALLLLLLL!!! Thank you for such wonderful service and great food!!! Money well spent!!!
