The minute I walked in the lobby, I knew I was at a Marriott, my home away from home hotel. It smelled the scent of sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines. Check-in was awesome and was upgraded to a junior suite. My suite was modern, clean and relaxing with a beautiful city view. Home-made chocolate waited for me in my room. Breakfast buffet was one of the best and food was varied, with lots of fresh fruits, pastries and juices to choose from. They’ll even make the fruits into smoothies upon request. I can’t say enough about the staff. Special thanks to Daisy and to Executive Chef Chapul, for the basket of fresh mangoes from Guimarras, sent to my room. Thanks to Joanna, John and many more whose names escape me right now for the special care and attention at breakfast time, and thank you for the special native hot chocolate that I was craving for. It was a pleasant surprise to also see Sunny in this property. I met him years ago at the Marriott Cebu and he made my stay very pleasant and memorable. I will not stay anywhere else when in Iloilo but at the Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo. Five stars all the way.

I had to do a last minute booking because our flight got moved to the following day and we needed a big space to pack all our stuff for a long haul flight back home. Found Courtyard in Richmond through my Marriot Bonvoy App and was able to book a newly renovated room with 2 Queen beds for me and my wife. Upon checking in I was greeted with all smiles by Simonette (even if it was around 11pm) already and she swiftly checked us in with a complimentary upgrade to a Suite! She made sure our quick stay was great and comfortable because she noticed we had a lot of luggage (20 day trip) and wanted me and my wife to have a convenient stay at the hotel. She was able to mention all the ameneties and questions I had were also answered. Will definitely book and stay in this hotel in the future for sure. Thank you Marriot. Your team here is amazing. The room was clean, very comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was of a high standard and well stocked. Wifi available and hotel is convenient to shops. Two negatives are, 1 breakfast is not included in the price and 2 they gave us a complimentary drink at the bar for out anniversary which was very kind, but was later charged to our credit card.

The rooms are nice & clean, but small. Popcorn ceiling. Free showtime and HBO was nice. Also a feature to sign into Netflix if you have a membership. No bathtub which was disappointing because I like to take baths at night. Toiletries are secured to the shower wall. Nice clean and roomy shower. Standard coffee maker with just powdered creamer and sugar packets. Small refrigerator. No microwaves available other than the one in their market. The pool and hot tub were clean and warm. Wasn’t aware that had to get pool towels from the front desk, so I had to walk in there dripping wet to ask for a towel. The front desk guy was very nice, but not very informative without question. There was like 4 guys standing outside in the middle island in front of the hotel with a case of beer drinking. That was weird to me that the hotel would allow that. Kids running up and down the hallways and crying in the hallways. Couple times it smelled like marijuana in the hallway. No free breakfast. Free parking. Late check out @ 2pm! Overall it was a comfortable stay, but I probably won’t stay there again. Not worth the almost $200 a night they ask for.

This is a newer hotel, with all the modern conveniences. Everything is clean and new. No bathtub though, just a modern shower--we had wanted to soak after a 10-mile hike, but was unable to. Breakfast was okay. We liked the vegetarian sausages, but the scrambled eggs were a little dry. Overall, good value. We'd stay again.

While the food was fine here, it also helps to know what to expect going in. It is your classic hotel food for a chain hotel/restaurant. Nothing to get excited about! But not horrible either! You also don't have any other sit-down options within walking distance, unless you know your way around this area, which a good map app will help you with.

Had breakfast and Dinner here whilst staying at the Courtyard. I did enjoy the food.... I always had the avocado on toast for breakfast...loved it. In the evening I had dinner early. I had 4 different meals over my stay and they were all lovely. The staff were always pleasant and always checked to see if everything was fine with your meal. Table clearing and bill delivery were prompt which I was pleased about. I hate it when left waiting for the bill for a long time. Only 1 negative point which is why only 4 star. I had root beer every night for dinner. Always served in a glass with ice and the remaining from the bottle brought to the table to top up.... you pay for the bottle so correct... one evening the guy behind the bar served my root beer in a glass with ice... no bottle though, I saw him pour him self a paper cup from the bottle of root beer he had just served my drink from.... technically he drunk the remains of my drink which i had just purchased. It's a petty negative, and I would not be put of from stating or eating here in the future

I've continued to come to the Bistro always, both for dinner and breakfast. They have selected new items every season, but they also have their regular menu's. I especially love their Cheddar French Dip & Wings & Ribs for dinner, for breakfast, their french toast is great. The staff is always so nice, you are greeted with a smile and you are always welcomed. I highly recommend this for dinner and breakfast. There is no lunch menu as they are closed during lunch.
