Food was great especially the potatoes! Server was nice at first until I ordered some toast to soak up my egg yolks and he made a comment on how I was eating a lot of carbs. Just being super judgemental of what I was ordering. Yet when he was serving some teenage boys two tables away who ordered so much food he had nothing to say. Didn't think much of the comment until some lady gasped when he said it and have him a dirty look that I realizes exactly what he said. Honestly everything else was great (especially the potatoes and huckleberry lemonade) until that server made it clear how fat phobic he was. F you server boy and I will eat what I want. Overall a good meal, bad experience.

This place is really good. The service was absolutely amazing. A lady was helping us and she remembered our entire order which was awesome. Everything that came out was correct and the atmosphere inside of the rest is awesome. Their menu is so cool because it’s a newspaper style also, there’s lots of cool Easter egg bear items throughout the restaurant. The food was OK, nothing special but I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.Parking: There are tons of parking spotsKid-friendliness: This place is definitely kid friendly and they have a kids menu

This use to be our good to go diner since it was opened. But today the food and service was horrible. Only one server for the whole restaurant, also appears the manager was doing the food preparation (cooking). The food was gross, didn't eat 50% of it. We will never return, lost customers for life.

I got breakfast. My potatoes hashbrowns were burnt. Ask for new ones. They were so grease and not cooked. I paid almost $20 for a 2 egg omelet and 1peice of toast. It was the worse I ever had there.

I would’ve given black bear diner a much higher review had management been nicer. I had called before hand for my large party, and I thought I had reserved/ prepared their staff for us to come in. I came in and they told us no reservations. Which was fine and they were able to accommodate for that. But then management told us that we all had to pay from one single check. And we had told them that just wasn’t possible, as the check would’ve been 1000+ dollars. We came to a solution with that but overall management was unkind and rude. Only saving grace was Logan. He had provided excellent service, was able to spilt our checks per customer, and was extremely prompt. He did all of that while joking around with our group and being so kind and pleasant. He would be the reason to go back to this restaurant and he deserves the 5 stars, management would be the major reason I wouldn’t go back and management would only get a 1/2 star.

Never had a problem with Black Bear Diner. Black Bear diner has always been 2 steps up from a Denys. Today had breakfast with my mom. I ordered the chicken Fried Steak. The Chicken Fried Steak was way past it expiration date. It tasted old. The strip hash browns was still raw and hard. My mom had the avocado toast. Avocado was old and brown. No attention to detail in the kitchen. Wait staff was excellent with no problems. WAIT STAFF, 5 STARS KITCHEN STAFF, 1 STARS. If the kitchen staff hate there job, they should quit
