This hidden gem in the back of our beloved Curtis Park Market should not be overlooked! The space is clean, and the sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I especially loved the ciabatta bread my No. 5 came on—plus the added avocado was a perfect touch. The portions are generous, and these sandwiches really hit the spot!

It may not look like much on the outside, but this deli spot has the best sandwiches around. So good! Its in a store so ambiance is a little lacking, but most the time I just get mine to go and take it to a local park or home anyway.
They guys are really nice too.

Jincuss Bin Kahn Komarov my old pal from when I was in Asia just moved to Sactown, and calls every day to tell me what he had to eat! Every day!
Then I remembered how scarce the food was in his village, and how he'd barter just to get the basics. The 2nd Avenue Deli is the joint he keeps talking about, he's there every day for his lunch and says it's the best food he's ever had, and that's all I needed to hear...so off I went, and let me tell you something, the sandwich I had was Amazing! 5 stars!☆☆☆☆☆

I’ve been coming here since I was kid to buy sodas and now to buy alcoholic beverages. I decided to try the deli sandwiches for the first time and it was awful what made it worse is the guy who made it said it was the best cut deli anyway old meat not even wanted it lol
I decided to check this place out on a whim and I’m really glad I did. First off the staff is really friendly and the prices are fair. When you go to order you give them your name and as they are making your food you can wander around the store to pick up snacks or drinks. There’s also a sitting area with tables if you’d like that instead. You pay for everything at the front counter of the shop btw, there isn’t a separate one for the deli. Overall nice deli go check it out :)

Very disappointed in the pastrami sandwich. $27 for a less than average sandwich (dry, smallish). It was not even close to what I remember it being years ago (sadly). Don't waste your money.
This review is for the uptown location. My son took me for lunch. I had a pastrami sandwich. A previous visit to 33st resulted in my having a memorable melt in your mouth experience. Not do this time. Total disappointment sadly. A very firm tough slices of meat resembling nothing of the previous glory. Of course the price was higher.
pastrami in pastrami sandwich had too much gristle. Fat on meat is fine but not gristle. Grisle should be trimmed I won't be back.

Service was amazing. Matzo ball soup was very good and was light and fluffy. Not too salty. Amazing knish’s and was piping hot! Brisket was very good. Pastrami was amazing and was falling apart in the best way. Krepela was very good. Overall an amazing experience and was worth the $!
Everything was perfect! When you are seated, a server brings each diner a bowl of coke slaw and two pickles. I enjoyed a bowl of matzoh ball soup with two added kreplach. Delicious! Then I had part of a potato knish. My dining companion enjoyed soup, too, and a triple decker meat sandwich. The service was great and we had a lovely, memorable lunch.
Typical kosher deli. Great food. Decent service. The black and white cookies are to die for. And the matza ball soup is amazing. But not the place for a vegetarian.
The best kosher deli anywhere in the world. The knishes are huge. We had kasha and potato, both outstanding. We shared a cornbeef sandwhich which was delicious. We also shared kasha varnishkes scrumptious. And of course the pickles and cole slaw which come on every table were fantastic. Cant wait to return!

Definitely the best hole is the wall sandwich place I’ve ever found. Good music and good food. And the dude behind the counter is pretty cool too.
